one more potential convert to the supra religeon, work on her from a young age dave!

06-17-2006, 01:57 AM
True, hagar. Just go ahead and let her crawl around in your engine bay. Just don't let her eat or taste the sweet smeeling yellow fluids, LOL

06-18-2006, 07:41 PM
The only downside is you have to learn to work on them. I can only imagine the ginormous pain in the ass that must be.

Porsches don't really do much for me except for maybe the V8 front engine model, 928 I think.

I will agree with you on the point of fact that the Japaneese have been building quallity auto's for a large period of time. :awesomewo

porkers and ferrari's are unreliable and too expensive and as far as porsches go too bl00dy slow. everything else is just a bit mundain and drab. it's either fast and loaded down with wood and leather or it's just far to slow for me. now in the past i have said alsorts about american cars and none of it good but europeon cars are just lighter and therefore faster but they are still drab. i'll stick to my supra's because they look great, go very fast, aren't too bad on juice and are reliable.

I have to say the mkiii Supra is my alltime favourit car.

For something that was created in the mid 80s and cost aprox the same as a small house. They were unafordable for most, if not all of us.
The first impresion i had driving one was Schit, new underpants needed.:eyebulge:
And looking under the bonnet i thought schit! Where do i start.:eusa_doh:
But getting to know the workings and fittings from places like this, its a breeze fixing them and maintaining them to a decent standard.

Thats why we LOVE them.

(The thread title was changed at my request)
Thanks Rainbow.:snork_kis

Don't get me wrong. I wouldn't be doing the work on this car if I didn't want to see what it is really capable of. I still want a porsche. But I would rather have a skyline and I would settle with a nice Zcar. Still keeping the supra.

[QUOTE=supramacist] I still want a porsche. QUOTE]

if you like constantly fixing cars and getting let down then go for it! don't get a boxter because supras will fly past them and you will be gutted!

06-20-2006, 05:30 AM
I think I would rather have the MR Spyder than the Boxter. I can't believe you guys have no love for your own countries craftsmanship. And your posts reads like it has attitude?????LOL is the new one keeping you ALL up @ night or what man. What about Lotus???? There has to be something over there that you guys would drive. Maybe this is the dedication variance, I will call it between our two cultures that must be overcome for all of us to effortlessly co-exist???? Just a thought. SMILE, dude..., Be Happy.

we like lotus's and tvr's and such but they are very expensive and rarer than porshes, was talking to a porshe mechanic at a supra meet a few weeks ago and he said that porshe havent't released any spares for the boxter engine so if it goes bang you have to buy a whole new engine, that's not what i call support from the manufacturer!

Tvr's are the stuff dreams are made of.
