Default New to forum with supercharging question

Hey everyone,

I'm brand new to the forum but a long time Supra lover. I recently was finally able to get my hands on one and couldn't be happier. It is a 94 N/A 5-speed and although I would have liked a twin turbo, but I see this as an opportunity to play around with different setups, and if I just end up with too many problems, I'll just get a 2JZ-GTE and be happy with that setup and a few mods. The car has only had one owner, and he never did a thing to it except an aftermarket stereo, and he took it to the dealership for all it's maintenance so I know it's been taken care of and I have the luxury of knowing everything that is going into it.

Anyway, although I am a new member, I have read a lot of forum material. Now I know from doing this, this is a very tired subject, but given what I'm starting with, I would like to try supercharging my Supra. Alot of the forums I have read have came to the conclusion that it's not feasible for the price or just not worth while, but given the newest I could find on the topic was about three years ago, I though I would give it a shot given the pace that things change in the automotive aftermarket world.

Does anyone have any input on the matter? Are there any members that have done a custom setup with a supercharger or are there now bolt on applications I am unaware of? I have heard that some of the lexus models that utilized the 2JZ had superchargers, but I am not sure how true this is or if it is even helpful info. Any input or suggestions anyone could give me is appreciated.

A centifical supercharger {and since you weren't specific I assume that is what you meant, and not a roots type supercharger} is like a belt driven turbo.

If you have some common sense then you can make a bracket to work with an existing bracket.

For example I have a blown Ford 540FE with a Procharger F1R cogged belt supercharger.

Well, NOBODY makes a supercharger for a FE series Ford {except for Shelby, who briefly contracted Vortec to made some kits for the now defunct Super Snake Eleanor Mustangs}.

The kit I bought was for a 351W so I had some 1/4 aluminum laying around so I just made my own setup. And to prove that I'm not BS's here it is........
