Default Hey guys

I'm new to the forums here. Currently overseas deployed for the next 3 and a half months.

I've been looking into a lot of different cars to buy once I get back. I never even thought of the Supra until I happened to see an article about one in Super Street. It caught my eye, and I've found that I can purchase a used Mark IV, NA model as my second car (if I decide to go for it).

Now, I'll admit, I haven't searched the boards yet, and I will, once I have time. For now, I'll post a few questions.

I've never really gotten deep into engine modifications before on cars. I'm mechanically inclined (hell I work on aircraft engines for a living :P) so I'm sure i can get into taking these things apart and putting them back together as long as I have a FSM on hand. I'm not new to car care and maintenance, I've done my fair share of brake changes, suspension and such, but I've never tackled a motor build or, hell, a full on project car before.

So, what is the going price for the TT engine? Can they bolt right into the car, or would some fabbing need to be done? I'm guessing that if I get an engine I'll need a new tranny as well, so any idea how much the two would cost?

Or would I be better off to go for a turbo kit for the NA engine already in the car? Would I need to upgrade the internals? I'm thinking of a target horsepower range of around 350, 400 at the wheels, something where I can go to the track and have fun once in a while, but still be a driveable street car.

Thanks for the advice in advance.
