Ran three passes today and went into the 8.60's three times:

1.38 60ft
5.66@126 1/8th
8.62@169.07

1.45 60ft
5.73@131.7 1/8th
8.65@171.28

1.44 60ft
5.74@131.76
8.66@171.09

44psi and 100shot. A TRUE 100shot that makes 100rwhp on the dyno too. So I guess I have the worlds Fastest Street Supra at 171.28:) And I'm still at 3530lbs on the scales.

The car has a few tenths to go as it sits before I make any changes. My cars reliability and consistancy has been incredible and it still amazes me to this day!!! Here are the three videos I have:

Of course there are rumors but let me ASSURE you, this is a brand new OEM Toyota 6spd tranny. There are NO Dog boxes in ANY Supra that I know of although I did look into it. If people think I have a dogbox now, wait until I actually do get one It's almost like how people say I'm running more boost and spray than I really am but yet when I take it out each time I get quicker and faster on the same setup You never really know how much is left in someone's setup do you??

My only good shifting pass was the last one and you can hear that I don't lift off the gas. I do every other pass. The backfires are the rev limiter. kind hard not to hit it with over 1400rwhp and going 171mph

Let the haters begin! hahaha

man that car is insane! very nice job! But there is a faster street supra. it may not have a stock tranny but still faster. love the car except for the rice decals.

Must be nice having the tracks open all the time. As much as you race, you probably have your own office there. The weather here sucks bad. You ever going to run an auto?

Chris.

I wonder if Ryan takes this as an insult, takes it as inspiration to run the 6 speed that much harder and farther, or maybe he is going to run an auto...to go 7's. Maybe he will go 7's on the 6 speed...who knows really?

The wear and tear on a 6 speed and it's clutch is crazy while running those times. With a built auto he could probably run 7's, which would be even more that impressive. I highly doubt he will ever run 7's with the 6 speed unless he cuts significant weight off the car.

Why is the wear and tear on the 6 speed any more drastic than lets say an automatic transmission? Are the synchros the weak link?

Oh, and is it ok to quote you on that if Ryan ever runs 7's in a 6 speed? :snork_tan

Ryan is good at launching and shifting through gears, but a nice full pull in a built auto w/transbrake is so easy. You just let go of the button and you're off. The car does everything for you.

IMO, Ryan will not be able to run 7's in a 6 speed at the current vehicle weight of 3500+ lbs. If he shaved some weight off, than I believe it may be possible.

Some people don't like to take the easy route.

There is nothing easy about running a 7 with an auto. 9's with a auto piece of cake. 8's with an auto takes some dialing in. 7's with an auto you have your work cut out for you. At this power level seting up the converter is alot more difficult.

Wouldn't you say that it's a little easier running a 7 on an auto than running an 8 with a 6 speed? Setting the car up is one thing, but getting it down the track is another, and being consistent at that power level and ET/mph is damn impressive.

that's honestly a tough one to answer. i know from watching true 10.5 racing which a lot of the fast auto supra's can compete in...runnin a 7 on that wide of a tire and stock style suspension (especially an irs) is quite difficult. consider that one supra has done it so far (MSP). 3 supra's have gone 8's with a 6-speed. just shows how hard both are to accomplish.

Quitting now and putting an Auto in is not going to happen. That would be, well...quitting.

damn...., I was set up to say something nice. Don't mark the calender just f ucking yet. Shifting gears is 80% of the joy of driving. I'ma have to pray to the car gods on this one, it may be blasphemous to get so worked up over an auto6.
