i was drivin down rt 78 west the other day in my 1jz supra comin back from skool, and i in the left lane i saw a red 512TR (ferrari testarossa v12, i believe), i dint really have plans to race, but he was going about 75-80mph, i only wanted a closer look so i sped up and when i let of of the throttle..my bov went off, i tried to let it out slow...but haha it still made the loud *whoosh* sound, i dint see they guy cause his windows were tinted, but he just guns it..you hear the motor just growl and he gets like two cars ahead before he slows down so i catch up, then he revs the motor and drops down to 65 and honks the horn and downshifts, so me being the curious one i slow to 65 and downshift also because i wanted to see how fast this thing really was...i thought i could keep up, so he honks and on three we hit the throttle, and i dont know wut the hell he had in that car or if that car is really that fast, but it was gone after i shifted to the next gear, like it was gone, i kept up about car length behind until 115...and i dont know if he was playin with me or not, but after 115 he gunned it and he was out, shit was scary cause i never got beat that badly before and i know my car aint slow and i know i dont suck at driving....im sad now :cry: i just got killed

Wow, I really wouldn't even be sad about getting killed by a Ferrari. There was this F355 (I think that's what it was) out where I was for the summer, but I never saw it when I had my car :(

he might have been modded, ive never heard the motor of a testarossa until that day, so i wouldnt know if there was any difference between a modded TR and an unmodded TR, losing to a ferrari is ok, but i pretty much got embarrassed...smoked to say the least, im gonna say he was modded... because it makes me feel a whole lot better

Well, these are the specs on it 421hp at 3340lb, capable of a 12.9mph, although since you're on a roll, that 1/4 time doesn't matter.

he probably has some mods to make it that much faster than yours. no shame tho, he did spend over 7x the worth of your car when new + cost of mods to humiliate you like that.

the 512tr is a very slow testarusty. I've worked on a few they are just shit. Doesn't even start in winter / rain.

what are some common mods for these cars? besides rims and a paintjob, superchargers? turbos? i know the modena 360's and the testarossa's can be turboed, those cars must be fast, just wanna know wut you can add to these cars if you can provide me with any info arnout

i would think of a testarossa can be turbo'd, this one surely can too. i remember john carmack (of Quake, Doom, id Software fame), had this 1000hp testerossa that was amazing...
