ChrisB 11-09-2005, 02:43 PM We just got back from Sema, and there are a ton of products available to the consumer that we currently aren't selling. We are starting to go through catalogs and getting the parts on our site. I wanted to see if you guys had any particular preferences for products that we don't currently have.
You can see which brands we currently carry by clicking on the three links...

Loki89t 11-09-2005, 04:55 PM Wow, I didn't know HPF carried that many different brands.
SP 7M 11-10-2005, 02:44 AM Wow, I didn't know HPF carried that many different brands.Same here. I know you guys carried more than most, but I see brands on there that I thought only sold in Japan.
ChrisB 11-10-2005, 10:07 AM We carry nearly everything sold for the Import market. We're starting to step into truck parts, but before we do that full scale I want to make sure we're not missing anything that you guys see a demand for.
Chris.

I think everyone dropped Bomex because of how bad the quality has gotten, and how long it takes to get the parts in.
flubyux2 11-10-2005, 08:23 PM and the fact that when you order a bumper, its typicaly folded or crushed in the middle.

I know MVP did a group buy with them.
ChrisB 11-11-2005, 11:38 AM Yea, i hate selling body parts. Too many manufacturing defects and shipping problems.
Chris.
ma71supraturbo 11-11-2005, 07:05 PM We can get S2 products, and their prices aren't 1/2 bad either. The only downside is the air freight cost for products not normally imported into the USA (~$1200 for a front bumper, ~$600 for a front lip). If there is enough demand, I could look into doing a group buy like MVP and getting a slow-boat ocean container.
shadowwolfsupra 11-14-2005, 11:50 AM straight up that S2 mk3 looks sick, looks like a reproduction to a JGTC race car. Damn if any of you beside mvp gets it in, let me know I want to get that body kit! damn it looks so much agressive than the bomex kit and not just that it brings out the exotic looks of the car that it has lost back in the day. All I can say is that it just str8t up sick!
SP 7M 11-14-2005, 03:27 PM Chris-I don't believe I've seen Do Luck rims for sale on your site. Are they available from you?
ma71supraturbo 11-14-2005, 03:43 PM http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/sale/Do_Luck/Wheels/Wheels :D
If you're looking for another model let me know
mkIIIman089 11-14-2005, 05:12 PM Jeff, how about some Enkei wheels. I've been looking at a few of their racing wheels and for the price and size they are very very lightweight. Specifically NT03+M and RPF1.

If you're looking for another model let me knowThanks Jeff. The Double Six is all they make as far as I know and they're gorgeous. So how about the other colors and offsets for other cars?
I'm not looking to buy any soon, but I have 99% settled on those to go on my next GS300-probably in Hyper (Hiper?) Black.
ma71supraturbo 11-15-2005, 03:07 PM Here are the various ones they offer: http://www.do-luck-usa.com/wheels.html
SP 7M 11-15-2005, 05:43 PM I knew about what they have, Jeff, I'm just curious as to if they're all available from you.
phillipthe1st 11-15-2005, 05:45 PM Jeff/Chris,
Whazup...dont know if anybody knows about white face instrument gauges to replace the stock gauges. I have seen ones that are placed "over" the stock ones but they were for the 91 and 92(they are different then previous years??).
I am happy with all the products right now since there is so much I want to get but not enough money...
P.S. - Jeff...I want that damn EMS...want to donate money...:crazy01:.

The 89+ MK3 turbos have a 160mph speedometer if I recall correctly. The 87-88 turbos have a 150mph speedometer. They later cars also have fewer "tick" marks. The only pictures I have handy are some small shots of canadian speedometers but if you look closely you can see the minor differences:

I have seen the gauge overlays before, but can't think of where to get them at the moment... As for the AEM, it'll be well worth it
shadowwolfsupra 11-16-2005, 10:03 AM check out speed hut, they have some of our guages both white face and reverse indiglo. I ordered the reverse indiglo for mine and all I got to say is that they look quite nice in the dark. The web site is www.speedhut.com
ma71supraturbo 11-16-2005, 10:10 AM :bonk: I don't know why I couldn't remember that name
SP 7M 11-17-2005, 04:08 AM Yes they are, we just have not added all of the color/offset combinations to the site yet :)Good to know. Thanks guy. That's where I'll be getting them from when the time comes.
The Great Tougini 11-26-2005, 08:26 PM what about volk gt-u wheels in mercury silver and in 18x9 will those fit or will i have some fitment problems?

Good Idea with the trucks! I have an 06 Chevy Colorado z71. I need a tonneau cover some running boards and a grill. I would prefer to buy from you guys over others if you can get the stuff at competitive prices! :D
SP 7M 11-29-2005, 04:24 PM Tougini-Volk GTUs are also extremely nice rims. The only thing I don't like about them is that they're three piece. I think that three piece rims would be harder to keep clean, particularly where the spokes and lip come together.
The Great Tougini 12-01-2005, 07:40 PM thanks for the tip... but they are nice rims and i dont know much about these things like offset, and all that good stuff. but i really like the deepdish look and with rwd's you can have that style.

Manual and auto tachs are different. I.E. ect lamps on the auto trans tach. I can verify that the 87,88 speedo are 150mph. I currently have an 88 auto, NA cluster apart on my counter working on installing an afr gauge into the cluster in place of the stock boost/voltage gauge. Each of the stock gauges are removable so it may be that overlays for each gauge are available. oops I should have paid more attention to the date of the original post
suprarossa 12-07-2005, 07:14 AM check out speed hut, they have some of our guages both white face and reverse indiglo. I ordered the reverse indiglo for mine and all I got to say is that they look quite nice in the dark. The web site is www.speedhut.com
Personal experience - DO NOT use SpeedHut! I ordered reverse Indi-Glo red numbers/black face overlays, and hate them! The first batch they sent me were the wrong font (some rickshaw shit!), so I had to send them back before I even tried to install them. Installing them was another bitch, with the center holes for the tach and speedo too small! They tell me I need to grind them out. Say what? So much for the "custom made to fit" claim!
So I grind them out, only to find out afterward (from their tech department), that I should have put some clear fingernail polish over the ground down area to prevent separation. Too late now.
So I get them all installed (after my oil pressure gauge blows up in my hand because the screws holding the face on actually hold the whole thing together!), only to have blue/green light leaking from every cut-out edge on the overlays - not just where I had to grind to fit. Cruise control, warning light openings, odometer, tripmeter - all of these "factory" created openings had leakage. Looked like shit against my red/black themed faces.
Another call to the factory, and the dude tells me they all do that. They could "try" to trim the openings a little more to get it less noticable, but no guarantees. Or they could refund my money - I just have to send back the faces. I had better things to do this summer besides tearing my dash apart again just to send their crap back to them, but I'll get around to it this winter.
I'm sure it looks great if you go for the blue or green numbers or maybe with white faces, but red on black with a touch of blue doesn't cut it. Buyer beware!
dizahl 12-07-2005, 07:24 PM whats wrong with nissans hell of lot better than some punk in a civic with only a muffler, by the way i have smoked plenty of celicas in my 240sx when it was completely stock.

shadowwolfsupra 12-09-2005, 11:05 AM I have to say some people did have problems installing these faces in there cars, for me I somewhat faced some difficulty installing it as well. However, your oil pressure guage blowing up?! that seriously wasn't suppose to happen. All I can say is that you got to very nimble when you put these on so you don't have problems like this. I will see if I can make a diagram for you all to see so you all don't face this problem when you go install the face. I am gonna have to pull out the old guages I have put away and do the process so that way I can show you how its done. Give me a few days, and from there i should be able to explain in detail how its done.
suprarossa 12-12-2005, 08:29 AM "blowing up" was just a figure of speech, but when it fell apart on me and I was looking at the needle guide, spring and such, without much of a clue how to put it back together, needless (or needle-less!) to say I was pretty pissed at the company that couldn't put together decent instructions. i went as far as to type up some Supra-specific (and even more specific for '89-'92 since they are the ones that need the grinding out) details and warnings and send them to the tech department. who knows if they ever started including them with the set.
