my 86.5 mkIII is having probs. i have the 3.0 nonturbo and it starts fine but when you push on the gas pedal it dies no power at all cant even rev up. i but some stable in it and turnes out its not bad gas new feul filter. someone said it could be a coolant temp sencer. please let me know if anyone has had the same prob. pics of my supra

First, check for error codes
But I'm guessing you need to adjust the TPS

bonehead move -> check the afm to make sure its plugged in tigtly. more than one time if done somethign and forgotten to plug that little bastard back in....

Back when my Supra was N/A (I've tried to rid my memory of it) I had the same thing and it turned out the little vacuum hose that connects underneath the big hose that runs from your throttle body to your afm was not connected properly. Exactly the symptoms you describe.

you know about a week before it happend i had new gaskets for the upper intake replaced . good to hear it could be something cheap. i had two mech. say the motor was tired and ready for a rebuild. when in doubt turn to the forums you mean Air-Fuel Meters right
