"Reliable" is a relative word. Some consider the 7M to be an unreliable engine. I strongly disagree.

If you want a better idea of what to expect from certain levels of power, I'd go check out www.7mpower.com if I were you. I'm pretty sure you can email those guys on there.

Nothing's as reliable as good old detroit steel!
Or japanese steel, which is actually about 10X tougher than the best detroit has to offer..... something about metalurgy...
I think once you start making over 600 HP, you have to start maintaining your machine. Anything over 25 psi, and you have to start checking headstuds periodically, to make sure the head isn't lifting. You need to check your plugs periodically to check for detonation. Then it's a good idea to check bottom end clearances every 10K or so to make sure that your bearings aren't getting hammered from all of the cylinder pressure. Also you oil should be sent out to be tested often to see what kind of condition your motor is in. Leaky rings let fuel into the oil. Fuel thins oil, thin oil doesn't lubricate as well. Getting your oil analized can tell you all kinds of things about your motor, and how you should maintain it to keep it healthy.
On the other hand, you can make 300 hp, run low on oil, and curse your damned 7m for blowing up. Again. For the 6th time. I've done it, I learned the hard way...
Just my 14.682 psi.

Detroit doesnt acutally have a bunch of steel to offer. Cleveland Ohio did, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania too.

They sold out to the Japanese.

I haven't heard about anyone breaking the 800 mark in the 7m but so far I only know that Will Nealy made 732, I think. That right there is the only highest horsepower I have heard yet so far and right now his car is quite reliable of what I know of.

Tony from Final stage did it at vegas with plenty of witnesses. He ran well over 700rwhp last year. If you look through the Vegas picture thread for the radical Organe MK3 you'll see it

damn, I had no idea that he sold the car now and not just that, I definitely didn't knew that that rwhp was broken either. Well now I know, I wonder who has that car now because by now they must be having a blast driving it.
