Would it be at all possible to put the rare hard to find TRD 10k tach in a MKIII dash? Would it be easier if it was a 1JZ/7M?

I was just wondering.

That guage is killer, man. I couldn't tell you which engine it'd be easier to use with, though. Where are you thinking of putting it?

you could probably mount that badboy somewhere...though why would u need 10k's of rpm? or is it just for show...

First off the tach is sweet. Second off 8k rpm (or more :eusa_sile ) is the majority of the tach. I just figured with a 1jz motor it would be easier to install. (yes, i know the 1jz is 7200rpm) Not hating on the 7m guys, I respect them too. Just thought someone could tell me at least if a 1jz and a 2jz get the readings for rpm the same, or what is diffrent about them. Thanks.

I'm not in to the just for show thing. I would drive around in a all primer supra, just to have the numbers.

shouldn't matter too much. the ign system/pulses are effectively the same for the 7M, 1J and 2J. in theory the tach SHOULD trigger off of the 7M and the 1J.....actual fitment of the gauge is a different story.

Thats what i needed to know. Fitment......................I guess you can say it would be custom.

I sent you an e-mail through mkiiitech.com about some car parts, didn't know if you got it.

I want to see the old TRD 16 PSI boost gauge, in place of the stocker.

I read a story in Sports Car International. It can probably be bought in back issues. It was an 87 or 88 with a TRD $8500 conversion package. A bunch of the money was tires/wheels/interior including the boost gauge and radio. No interior pics in the story, although a bunch of exterior. Ugly ass body kit and wheels.

Id like to see it too.
