Horsepower is up to an estimated 400, thanks to a modified 4G63 turbocharged four-cylinder transplanted from the Evo VIII. In a nod to Eclipses past, the car also gets the Lancer’s all-wheel-drive system. Other changes include carbon fiber exterior panels and clutch, 20-inch wheels, custom exhaust, coil-over suspension, Brembo brakes and a racing-inspired interior

Gayness. As you say, it's got the Evo's engine and chassis. To add to that, the Evo looks better and isn't gay. To sum it up: Evo > another gay Eclipse.
Mitsubishi seriously needs to develop a new engine to replace the 4G63. That thing is damn near 20 years old and as its history shows, hardly reliable.

I still don't like it too much I'd rather just go and buy the Evo VIII instead of that. Evo does look better than that. That Eclipse looks like a big RC car

thats actually pretty hot...though i would prefer the evo...i wouldnt mind pickin one of these up either and red wouldnt be my color of choice either... still i think the rally art eclipse looks pretty nice, glad theyre gettin back to the turbo 4 roots

i like this model..it looks a lot hotter than the last eclipse they had...shit was garbage...i like the 2nd gens also...those were pretty smooth...it looks like it could be a nice fun car...though it cant replace my supra

The car really looks great with that kind of modification, it has the same blending like the one in 1996.
