hey guys, little advice needed, i just had my ct26 rebuilt and upgraded to a 50 trim wheel and i want to know what should my recomended or max boost be??? i dont want to over spin this one. is 14 psi too much? ive aftermarket IC ,IC piping and exhaust. so it will go more but like i say i want to keep this turbo around for a while.. hehehhe any one know? :snork_lac

I have come to believe that there is an inverse proportional relationship between the boost you run and the life of the CT26 turbo, so even though 15psi may be "safe" the turbo might not last as long as on run at 8psi... That said, 15psi is a pretty common number. Above that (especially with a turbo as small as the 50) you will be out of the efficiency range of the turbo and essentially heating the air to increase pressure rather than efficiently compressing it (and having some temperature increase as a side effect)...

thanks for the info jeff, its a stock block so i dont plan on running more than 12-14 psi max. and most the time ill be at 7.5psi on the dual actuator i bought from you guys, (HPF) thanks again. works sweet.
