Buy this game, now. It is seriously one of the best games I've played.

It is so ****ing scary. The perfectly timed eerie noises, objects moving on their own, lights flickering and radio static because of paranormal activity will make you piss yourself.

those screenshots are bad as hell. man, i wish i had a computer that i could use for games... i actually wish i wasnt so jewish and refused to pay retail for computer games or console games. i just get the urge to buy and think... shit, i can get this for dirt cheap off ebay, and then i never buy it :(

is that game difficult and involved? i dont like games that are linear and systematic with relatively short gameplay that can be beat in 2 days, or less.

i really wish i could have played it with higher settings, but to me the sounds are way more terrifying than the visuals. if i didnt have a good stereo it would be less intense. the sense of fear the game creates is really good. like in most FPS games i can just kinda run around in the open care free and blast away. in this game i found myself slinking along the walls and behind pillars and crouching alot because i was scared of the freakin little girl was near or there were hidden enemies or something really paranormal about to happen.

those pics arent too bad. i suppose that id have to hook this laptop up to surround sound to get the full gaming experence. i wouldnt be able to get as into it as id like to w/ just the ghey integrated speakers on this laptop.

as far as slinking and crouching, thats how i like to play my FPS games. i was playing the new Socom in my friends shop... its a cool ass game. i ended up crawling alot and taking careful and methodical head-shots and flanking maneuvers to take out the bad guys from afar. i usually equipped w/ the M14A1, 4x scope and the silencer. had a range of about 100meters with the silencer, but i could take them down before they knew what hit them. my finish time took longer, but i had higher accuracy percentage, less shots fired, and higher marks like A or B instead of Unsatisfactory.

my weapon of choice through the whole game was the shotgun BY FAR!!!

chris, put some headphones on or something when you play. those speakers arent gonna do shit for you as far as the whole feel of the game. i have the bass on my stereo and the volume turned up pretty high. it really adds to the game alot! nothing even has to be happening but the ambient noises and sounds really get you. you just dont get that with less than good speakers

teh scatter gun is pretty sweet for close quarters. when you have to sweep and clear like that in enclosed spaces, tahts what i would use. prefer to reach out and touch someone as opposed to up-close conflicts when possible.

what kinda shotgun was it? a Spaz? those things are freakin awesome.

dunno honestly. as you can see with my low settings you cant see the gun... i just know when i shoot people either get knocked far away, do flips, blow up into nothingness, lose their head/leg/arm, or get blasted in too...

the particle gun is nice too. turning people into skeletons is fun

It's a pump shotty. I prefer the nail gun myself. I get a lot of satisfaction from pinning people to the wall by their head.

It took me 5 days to beat the game, and that was playing sporadically. So it's pretty short, but it's really good and definately worth the buy.

There are different routes through the buildings and such, it's great to come up behind a group of people and surprise them with a grenade. Its also fun to strategically place proximity mines.

The nail gun is just like a regular gun that shoots these huge ass spikes.

You can cut people in half and take off arms with the shotty. Dunno what else you can do with it because I didn't use it that much.

I thought doom 3 was more scary. Doom3 is the only game and movie that can make me jump. I coudln't really get into fear. Don't know why.

lol Fear was probably the scariest game i've ever played. I loved it.
