i was driving to skool one night and i have this long stretch of road with like 3 traffic lights on it, i was in my mom's acura vigor...auto which is ok since it is my moms cause she needed gas and i was goin out anyways, but at this first light some kid...probably just got his license pulls up in a white honda civic dx auto... might have been like 93-95 or some year around there not really sure, but when teh light turns green...i accelerate normally...i dint even gun it...this fool guns it like crazy...now the dist from here to the next light is around an 1/8 of a mile...so after he guns it and overtakes me and gets in front of me...keep in mind theres no one on the road...its probably around 11-midnight dont remember but it was late, so before the next light i setup in teh right lane...its a two lane road and im ready to shift tiptronic style, i put it into first gear...now from here to the second light is around 1/2 a mile which is a pretty good distance, the light turns green and i bust through the 1st 3 gears short shifting...probably around 5500rpms the redline on the vigor is like 6500-7000 somewhere between there, and i burn him after 2nd gear beat him by at least 5 or 6 car lengths before the 1/4 mi mark, so i easily reach the second light first and pretty much cruise the last hundred feet, i got it up to around 95 then cruised at around 80 before slowing down...now the distance to the next light is like the first probably around 1/8 of a mile not long maybe less this one was gonna be mroe of who had the most power and acceleration, but after this i had to stop to get gas before i hit the highway, the speed limit on this road is 45mph since its mostly business on it...so the light turns green and we both gun it...its 2nd gear and im ahead by at least a car length but i see cops in teh parking lot to my right and i quickly let off...luckily i was gion around 50mph and was able to slow to 45...the dumbass civic blows right by me....and i was hopin teh cops wouldnt nab me for racing, so i was kinda pissed the cops were there...but i turned into the gas station to fill up on gas...and i see the po-po blow by the station...i was thinking i hope he gets that stupid ass civic, after the tank is full i pull out...and not more than 100ft from teh station i see the kid on the side of the road getting a ticket...i look over and i wave, he sees me and just puts his head down...haha that made my night, funniest race i ever had, gonna be some mad parents when he got home :sheep:

Thats great, lol. I had a similar experience the first week I had my MKIII. I had to stop by Gart Sports to get some fishing line, and when I pulled back out onto the road, I get stopped at this red light next to some Chevy Silverado, lowered with exhaust and some huge tires in the rear. I don't think anything of it, until the passenger looks over at me and says,"Hey, is that thing quick?" I've had the car for like 4 days, so its completely stock and I still think its badass, so I reply, "Hell yeah its quick." The driver then looks over and asks if I wanna race. I look around, then upon seeing no cops, I agree. Next thing he does is powerbrake the shit and just starts roasting the tires in the middle of the road, when there are like 8 cars behind each of us. I just shake my head and look for the green light. It turns green, and I do the best launch I knew how to do at the time, so it bogs and the truck gets like 2 cars on me from the getgo cuz its an automatic. Shortly thereafter, the turbo finally spools and I start catching up like mad. Right after I shift into 3rd gear, I'm goin like 70 (speed limit 40) and I blow by him like nothing, while hes still on it. So at that point I'm happy, until I look in my rearveiw. All the color in my face vanishes when I see a cop haulin ass down the side of the road, lights, sirens, everything. I'm like oh shit, I'm gonna lose my car I haven't even had for a week yet, and my licence, basically just freakin out. I pull over to the side and start slowing down, knowing what I had done, and then the cop just blows right by me, chasing the Silverado! I'm like, yes! After that little incident, I behaved for awhile, but it was cool. Blew the guys doors off, and then avoided the ticket on top of that. Life is good, lol. Nice kill man.

hell yea...scares the crap out of ya when u see the cops barrelin down teh roads .....only to go get the other guy u were racing...its funny though but scary...haha i remember like a week after i swapped the 1jz into my car, i was just testing the motor, so i hit a light on like a 2 lane road..and a ford bronco with like 20's or somtin rode up with some kids in it...like a dude and his girl and another dude...haha i was in teh turn lane to go left..and i had my signal on...dint feel like racing cause i was still gettin used to the motor...this driver's friend started makin fun of me...callin me coffeecan racer cause my car had a loud exhaust haha so hes like dude race him race him, im revvin my motor lightly and waitin for the light...so the light turns green with the green left turn arrow of course and he guns the throttle...chirps the wheels and u can hear the motor rev...hahaha and i just turn left and u hear him jam the brakes cause as i was turnin i saw a cop pull up on the otherside, but he dint pull that idiot over...unfortunately...

I hate people like that, lol. If I'm not in the mood or something and get challenged by like an Accord or Civic EX, or something that my truck could prolly beat, I'll rev up and play like I'm gonna race and then just drive normally. I hate it when they put on their hazards afterwards, though. As if you honestly had a chance, lol. Good times.

me neither...either my car is too fast to be caught or im just damn luck...though i like the first part better...i would go with the ...im just damn lucky part, hah that reminds me...just last week my friend got his license suspended 6mo for going 85 in a 35 in his s2000 and a 6500 fine hahahaha

Dear God thats a bad fine! I haven't gotten a ticket in my Supra, either, or in the Talon TSi I had before that. My 2 tickets were in the slowest cars available to me. The first was in my truck, which runs like a 20 sec. 1/4 mile, I got stopped doing 78 in a 55, then the next one, like 3 weeks later was in my Mom's Nissan Pathfinder, doing 78 in a 65.

theyre stupid hahahaha, haha my friend in his turbo rsx..he bought and installed altezzas for the car...i called him a ricer and i told him i would never roll with him as long as he had those lights...hahahaha so guess what he did... he removed tehm and returned it...his reason was.. he dint wanna be called ricer...he isnt though...he built up his motor and that was the only exterior mod he was gonna do hahaha

Cop was probably in the cars behind you guys and watched him do the burnout in the middle of the street and then race.

I guess these cars are evenly match since they all have their motors built by honda! But I guess in terms of performance Acura OEM Parts (http://www.racepages.com/oem/acura.html) is a bit superior from the honda dx.
