Welcome Frankie.

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody :) I have a 02 WRX that is on jackstands begging for 500whp, I should have it done by spring. I also have a 92 DSM that is kinda my beater. Its down right now for a new tranny, transfer case, driveshaft, fmic, and some other goodies. My license is gone til Sept 8, 2006 so I have plenty of time to get both done.

Too many points :(

This true. I'm going to be running a Forced Performance Red turbo, and JDM STi longblock, an AEM EMS, 800cc injectors, and some other goodies.

Said with the sublety of a bull in a china shop...Subtlety is my specialty. :eusa_ange

That's cool that you own a WRX. That's definitely worth discussing, especially with the level of modification you'll be achieving.

I regret to hear, however, that you own a DSM. I see that it's acting just like they're known to do.

The WRX should be enough to hold me over until I can get a Supra :) It will be cool cuz I can race the fast Supra's around here from a dig and put a hurting on them until they catch traction

The way the DSM broke was, I think, one of the previous owners fault. The drain plug for the transfer case fell out causing it to drain and then sieze :( I say one of the previous owners cuz I bought it from a friend that only put 1K miles on it. He sold it cuz "it kept breaking". It broke an axle doing donuts and the oil pan gasket leaked. Those are the only problems he had with it. He put a new clutch in cuz he wanted to make more power and then, after break in, sold it to me. You might say that whoever did the clutch might have left the plug loose. He didnt, Flubyux2 did the clutch job in my garage and I remember him saying he was a pro cuz he could remove the t case with out draining it. So it didnt just break, it was human error.

Human error will gitcha!

I had a friend with a 97 GSX with 500-ish WHP and he was on his third trans. The second one was supposed to be "bulletproof."

Bulletproof doesnt mean idiot proof ;) (Not saying your friend is an idiot :))

There is a recall on the transfercase. On one of my DSM's I had it done 4 times.
