Hello to all again, I had an unfortunate mishap last night letting a prospective buyer test-drive my car listed below in another thread.
Now the power steering pump is blown, and power steering high-pressure line needs replacing, and the Toyota dealer where the car is sitting at says it needs a new rack. They are quoting me $2500 for parts and labor.
I don't have the money to repair/replace these items. Car is running flawlessly outside of this newly developed power steering problem.
I would describe the car as in fair to good shape with numerous new parts I have replaced(head gasket, water pump, exhaust system, clutch, radiator hoses, brakes, and it has new tires!). Body is in fair to good condition with only two minor rust spots.
Make me a reasonable offer to purchase this car if you can fix the power steering. I am located in Chicago, Illinois area outside of O'Hare airport. My e-mail address is magbond65@hotmail.com. Magbond65

Get a rebuilt rack for ~$200-300, a used PS pump ($75?) and a new high-pressure line from Elmhurst Toyota (I'd guess <$100). They're in Illinois and should be able to hook you up with a good price. Ask for Curt.
