This came out of my 88T parts car (which had 120,000 miles on it). The engine had just had the HG replaced, but the 16 year-old kid didn't get the wiring quite right upon reassembly and it never ran well. I planned on fixing it and selling, but discovered a tweaked chassis and salvage title so I just used it for a 5 speed donor car. Anyway, the engine does not have a rod knock, but I have little faith in the HG job. Since the engine is out, I'd pull the head and put a new HG in (and new valve stem seals while you're in there). I do not recall the engine smoking any at start-up, but I just ran the engine long enough to drive around a parking lot and pull onto a trailer...

Free for pick-up only. The engine is located in Redding, CA (~160 miles north of Sacramento). If I recall correctly, it still has the intake manifold on it and fuel injectors, but no exhaust manifold and no CPS. Coilpacks are also off of it.
