If you haven't read somewhere by now, I am having some 89+ taillight covers produced. I currently have access to have them done in either acrylic (both smoked and clear) or Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic. I have already completed 2 projects that consisted of the acrylic (the 89+ blinker covers and the rear sunshades) and have had good results. The downside of acrylic is that it is very expensive and requires a lot of people to bring the cost down (at least 30+). FRP looks promising because the overall cost requires less people to be organized.

Feedback so far has indicated that a style similar to the Gains silloutte covers are in high demand (2 circles and 3 slots over the blinkers). Other ideas have been posted as well.

What I'm looking for at this time is to have interested people email me at K_Mart90@hotmail.com so I know where we're at as far as numbers.

I'd also like to get the following info:
1) What style you would prefer. (also a second choice)
(gains, regulus, style 1-5)
2) What price range is acceptable.

whats the price diffrence in the fiberglass to the acrylic?

We don't have enough people to go with acrylic. The epoxy molds are just too much money. I'm just waiting to hear back from the FRP place. I'm thinking we're going to have 3 options

1) a solid cover (non-transparent, you cut your own design)
2) a gains style
3) number 5

I'll let you all know when I hear back

So what does the price range looking like?

Somewhere between $125 and $150. I won't know for sure until I get the quote back and I know how many people are in.

We're going to start with a solid FRP (non-transparent) cover and have jigs to make each different style with. The possibilities are really endless since you can get the solid cover and cut your own custom styles out.

I have 15 "interested" people right now, but would like to see 20+. Still waiting for the final price on the molds, etc.
