Hi Drifft, I sold the car last fall. You would not have wanted this car as it was a mechanical nightmare. I am still paying for repairs on the car and no longer own it. It was in fair shape compared to other Supras from that year but the worst dependable car mechanically I have ever owned in my lifetime. magbond65

please define mechanical nightmare......., I may just be having the same dream. I have the same car only it's a 91. your's is priced right if it's a daily driver. maybe dizahl would have given you a can of skoal for it, if it were still for sale.

Hello supramacist, I bought this 90 Supra used in 1996 with only 32,000 miles on the car. I made the mistake of buying it off a woman who had let the car sit without running for 6 months because her husband got a company car. What this proceeded to do was dry out all the seals, belts, hoses, etc. When I used it for a daily driver, everything and anything that could possibly go wrong with the car did. You name it, water pump, head gasket, clutch-twice, starter, tie rods, and on and on and on. In the 9 years I owned the car I spent $20,000 in repairs. I was on a first name basis with the Toyota dealership mechanics that serviced the car as being their best customer! Fun car to drive but I would never buy a Toyota again for dependability. The car is no longer for sale. I sold it in the fall of 2005 for $1700.

ya when they sit like that you know your going to have problems within a few thousand miles. This car was neglected and I am going to get it up to spec and keep an eye on it. If after that if it nickle and dimes me I can handle that because I wanted a project car. But if it's going to dollar bill me to death I'll fix it and sell it for what ever I can get and go back to nissan.

don't give up yet overhaul your motor revamp the trans, if your car is clean keep it. it will cost around 1g but oh so worth it that is if you do it yourself. invite some good friends over and do it one weekend wait damn i forgot who i was talking to, you don't have friends. sorry i guess this post was useless but i did increase my post count just like you try to do.

You are the only friend I have diz you and nick. It must have been terrible growing up as your younger brother, haha. but seriously, even though I am a bit frustrated with things. It's because my wife is having a surgery in a few weeks and I want the car running buy then. I am trying to do everything I can to get it on the road by then. I am going to get the clutch from o'riellys. It's priced right and it comes with everything except a fly wheel. so I need to track one of those down as well, I'm sure i am going to replace it as well.

you can have the flywheel turned hopefully, check prices on all your local shops. if their is noticable worping or wear, having the flywheel done will extend the clutch's life though.
