: 6 speed rule change at the only true Supra Meet

Let me first say that the only reason Jason put a weight restriction on the 6 speed challenge was to create a level playing field for all of the entrants. It was not for me or anyone else, it was for the whole race. Had Lyan or any of the other drivers just talked to him about it and not started using insults, this all could have been avoided. Jason has put a lot of effort into the drag portion of the meet and should be commended for it.

We will need confirmation from all of the drivers and only the drivers that they are happy with a no weight restriction rule and that they will be entering the race. Once we have a full field and everyone agrees, then the weight restriction will be dropped.

Confirming for I think the 5th time, I'm fine with no weight

For the millionth time.... My opinion is obvious.

Jerry Reyes is at work and says no weight restriction as well.

I am willing to bet Al Rhee, Nick Riley (who already posted above), Jack and Tim say no weight restriction as well....

I don't agree with no min weight restriction, I don't want to race against a 3200 pound 6-speed lets just say my vote is for all street 6-speed Supras with full interior, if I had to put a number on that, 3500 or so is my guess.

p.s. Im glad this is over, after I win the 6-speed Challenge :eusa_droo I got us a section at Sapphires (20-25 people), we all going out get ****ed up and have a blast for once ok?

Jason is not a driver in the 6 speed challenge and I have never opposed any weight requirements. My car is and will be the heaviest in the challenge no matter what because I have not removed anything from it.

Does everyone still have to get weighed after each run and post their weights on the windows?? I know i'm not one of the racers but the scale is a position that Jason said i would likely be working.

Al Rhee

im fine with no min. weight too.

as far as I know, there is no replica of the titan 6 spd supra racing, so we dont have to worry about any anorexic 6 speeds with 1000+ RWHP.

I believe everyone on the list is within 150 pounds of each other so we should be good to go.

YES.....ABSOLUTELY without exception ALL cars will weigh after EVERY round....PERIOD...END OF STORY, if you miss the scales you lose doesn't matter if you beat your opponent!

Isn't this a bit overkill. I'd hate to make Josh sit by the scales all night long. :) By the way, where are the scales at anyway?

It's o.k. chris, Elliot has volunteered! There are no bracket classes this year, just grudge matches. So the scale guy will only be out there for qualifying and eliminations of the Heads up classes.

This event's already fragile credibility just went down the toilet. A biased, ignorant nobody who doesn't even own a Supra will be running the scales all night? The only good thing about that is that the scales are so far away from the pits, and nobody will have to deal with him. I feel for the racers.

Your selective reading got it backwards. The bet was the 1/4. I'll pass you by the 330'. We can bet on both in one race if you want. Name the amounts, I'll even let you do that. What else would you like? If I were you, I'd stay away from racing me in a streetrace type environment with money involved. You've yet to see me run my car like that.

Thanks for the kind words Marko. Your really a cool guy! Well since i'm a nobody then everyone will get a chance to meet me at the race. That way they can put a face with a name. I wish you could be here so i could have you autograph the weigh sheet for me when you come around :moon:

You say i'm biased? What does that have to do with weighing a car? One thing i am is fair when it comes to dealing with people. I never screw anyone over anytime. You can ask anyone that KNOWS me and they will agree. Now tell be about being biased you :sheep:

Ignorant? You really don't come across as the brightest bulb on the tree so that really doesn't offend me. So sorry about that.....go ahead and drive thru please.

Does owning a Supra somehow make it easier to read the weight on a scale. Is there some sort of special Toyota equation that i have to put into a computer to get the final calculation? Please fill me in oh race god

Like Jason said i won't have to be there all night. I'll still be able to mingle and make friends. Too bad you won't be here to hang out with....that would really make my year :laughabov

That's what I thought Marko.... You know good and well, that you said, you "bet you beat me and Saad to the 330". I don't have selective reading....I called you on it, and you know there is no way in hell you would beat me to the 330 giving me the leave. Who said anything about a street race? you didn't....neither did I. THis was at the track in Vegas (which you said you would come out for "10large". Just so you are aware (you may be a street racer, but you have not been around the dragstrip anywhere near as long as I have) a "leave" at the track is a .400 dial, meaning you get the green .400 after me.....your a smart guy...why don't you go figure out how fast your car would need to be, just to tie me by at the 330 starting .400 late, let alone ahead of me!

So you're trying to tell me that after the light turns green for both of us I have to wait another .400 to come after you? How does that work? I guess it's very hard to explain anything to you. You do have a way of twisting the untwistable. :snork_lac

It's quite simple......do you know why a .400 is a perfect light? There is an actual reason behind it...they didn't just pull that number out of the air. If you react faster.....you have anticipated the light a human being can't see something and make a physical movement any faster than that....period. Sooooo at the track a leave is a .400 dial back.... It's not debateable.....it is a fact!

BTW, Pro Tree's have been .000 for quite some time now. When was the last time you were at a sanctioned event? I still don't get you. I said after the light turns green you leave and I'll come after you. What does .400 or any number have to do with that other than my reaction to you leaving?

Marko, you really don't know much about actually racing at the track do you.....pro trees at SOME tracks take the .400 out of the equation...meaning the .400 was there to let you know it is a .400 tree. The yellows light up and .400 later you get a green....as anyone who has raced a pro-tree knows you leave on the yellows....not the green(hence the .400 to the green). If you go under the .400 then it is a redlight. Some tracks label the .400 on your slip so you can have a .410 light or a .010 light...depending on what the track is doing with their slips. The .400 number comes from the ability of a human being to react to anything and make a physical movement. This is widely documented. Here is a little excersize for you...The next time you get to a RACETRACK, don't look at the tree, look at your opponent, and when you see his car leave, you leave... this will add at LEAST .400 to his reaction time and that will be yours...assuming you have a PERFECT reaction to his car leaving!

I actually stand up for people that i call friends. I don't act like :sheep: and follow everyone else. I'm used to that though......people like you and Ryan are a dime a dozen. Do you guys know what it's like to have loyalty? Respect for the people that help you get where you are? It sure doesn't appear that way. I shouldn't be suprised though......that kind of attitude seems to be the norm lately. It happens ALOT more than it should.
