Did the paint and body myself with a buddy! Sanded the car down, primed it with a few coats, Wet sanded/blocked it!
Sprayed some sealer on it!
Then on with the Dupont Chromabase paint code 204 metallic black(stock color for my car) paint. Used 3 qaurts!
Finished with some Dupont Clear! 5900S IIRC!

BTW you can't see it in the pics but I stripped the paint off them so they are semi polished.. I am looking for MKIV polished wheels at a decent price.

Justin, that's an awesome job *envious*

I'm rebuilding mine this winter with my bro in law. It's an 86 1/2, N/A, standard.
In the Spring i'll be ready for a paint job, but i'm concerned about the moldings which are puffing up in places.
How were yours ? Did you replace them with new ones ( $$$ !!!) or managed to salvage the original ones?

congrats on your car, obvioulsy been getting lots of TLC ... tres cool

this is the latest pic of it. i had a few more. I pulled the motor out for a build up even tho the motor that was in it was perfectly fine and if i would have known what i know now i would have kept that jdm motor in there and rebuilt my usdm one cause i gotta use the block anyways. But this gives me a chance to spray the engine bay as well.
here is most recent. I stripped the stock wheels Dawg so they arent polished but I might get around to that when I get more free time on my hands. I would love to have a set of polished TT wheels.

Your car looks super nice. I can hardly believe the change from when you started to after you put all of your labor into doing this job yourself. You really did a nice looking job on all. You wheels looks nice. They look almost polished. If you were to polish them or have them chromed that would be really even more super... Those wheels looks so much better without the paint on them...

Thanks for posting your pictures. I think it is nice that people want to brag about their cars and post pictures of them. I love looking at other peoples cars.

thanks dawg! I really dont have a before pic before I actually started the body work and paint prep but it was ruff man. You know how the clear likes to dry up and stuff. well it was like that. It had nasty original tan interior at one point and time but i swapped it out for some good looking grey. I just need to clean the wheels and they will shine! i still gotta get some more things like hte 89+ antenna so i can put the sides on the spoiler. I do have the 3pc tails.
I will try and get bigger pics asap. Thanks agian everyone!
