I bought one of those Husrt line lock kits for front wheels except after hooked up, the lock pulses after the back wheels start spinning. I am thinking of wiring the momentary switch through a relay with the sensors tied through so that the computer still thinks the wheels are rolling. Or 2 line kits one for each front brake, in line after the ABS. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Or just unplug the ABS unit when you go to the drag strip? I ran a switch which cut power to the ABS controller. The only problem is that you have to turn the car off to get the ABS back on -- if you just flip the switch with the car still running, the ABS still does not function

So you dont think the relay on the front sensors will work or will that have to be reset as well???

Once the system detects a problem, it will shut down the ABS portion and resume "old school" braking. It will not reset until the power to the ECU is cycled...

Sorry to bring this up again and none of this worked, my line lock will hold to about 2-2.5k rpm and then it starts slipping. Any ideas?

Probably more like oranges and tangerines. tangello's and pineapples, with a cide of evil grapefruit nectar. Is anyone buying this shit?????

unfortunately, it's not like an apple/orange comparo given the topic @ hand- cars w/ABS and a line lock....it does work, end of story.

You live in Detroit and drive a supra????? BLASPHEMER. LOL. Relax dude..., I was just goof'n. I'm tired of being an asshole it costs too much energy.

It is a valid statement..., I am sure it came off worse than it was intended, But those guys are on a different level. They have the cheddar cheese whizzy to dig up the 2jz swaps and other misc. shit. My broke ass is not spending a benji on 8.5mm plug wires, and 22$ each for hks platinums.

Get some pics soon. Going out of town for week so it might have to wait. Anyway it is a hurst lineloc kit bought from Suprastore.com. Installed it just like the picture on there website. It holds but not enough to burn. And my rears are baldies now-a-days. I have not flushed brake fluid so that may help but when I installed the loc kit I also installed braided lines at the calipers, and did a proper bled at that time. The car will lock up if I mashem'. :burnrubbe

I am not familiar with that specific line lock, but the ones we used in the wreckers worked great. Push the pedal hard. set the line lock, release the pedal.

Pushing the pedal after the line lock is engaged will only work the brakes without the line lock (rear wheels) as no fluid can move past the line lock to the front wheels because the valve is closed.

If you were running an automatic you could fab a trans brake. With a domestic swap, you can buy a kit already made. Then you truly load the engine and build boost.
