I was testing my car on Thr night and I broke the timing belt idler pully.During the removal process I hold the timing beld and brought every thing to TDC to see how much the timing beld jumped. At TDC intake was at 2'0 clock and the exhaust was at 12. Put every thing back together last night , but seems like I have a problem with the exhaust side valves. I am running crower 276/284 (.393/.413 Lift). During cranking the car make funny sound (similar to when you do compression test), during idling there is a little ticking sound coming from the exhaust side. Drove the car few blocks, car drives and idle fine. Haven't did the compression test yet, but do you think I bended any valves on exhaust side.
thanx in advance

Probably bent the valves and now your valve lash is off causing the ticking. Do a compression test and leak down test. I still made 783rwhp with 6 bent valves, they weren't very bent, but bent none the less. If your motor is ticking, you should replace the bent valves. The least you could do is check the valve lash and fix adjust the shims but that's merely a patch to make the ticking go away.
Take care,
Chris.
thnax chris, seems like the car will be down for few months. Since you made some good power with the bend valves so can I assume that it will not demage anything else and drive around with the bend valves or stop driving for further demage.

If you have a ticking sound, that is bad. Check compression right away. At minimum, fix the valve lash.
