love that color on ur mkIII as well.

in all honesty i would take any color supra if i knew i had a chance at owning an mkiv. but a tt is still outta my price range..and i haven't decided if doing an na-t one would be worth the effort. if anyone has opinions about that feel free to chime in as well.

Favourite colour for any Supra is black, other than black my favourite MKIV colour is Anthracite and my fav MKIII is Metallic Blue Mica.

And my least fav would have to be Homo Blue :7: actually it's not thaaaaat bad, but it looks dumb if you have chrome TT rims on your car :beef:

I think the color that shows off a MkIVs lines the best is silver. My personal preference though is for a dark metallic blue or RSP. I'm biased though... I love blue on cars.

Mine's black/black and has the factory darkened out emblems too and I like that combo a lot, especially with nice polished wheels (like my 18" Veilside EvoV's).

But I've seen a couple local very well detailed and accented RSP's that also look gorgeous and jewel-like.

I'm biased, since if it's done decently well, it's hard for a Supra NOT to look great.

this is very true..if its done right it looks good. i don't like yellow but i've seen a sharp yellow one in person. i like darker colors personally..especially green's..which is why imperial jade is my fav. but to me it doesn't take much to make a supra look good. a lil front lip spoiler or whatever similar to say what saad's supra has on it,,some nice wheels and a good looking exhaust and i'm sold on a mkiv pretty much. the car just has such great lines to begin with.

(RE the sapphire pearl Supra) - It's factory all right, I'm the original owner. I sold my twin-turbo RX7 and got the Supra because I had just had a baby and this was my concession to fatherhood - I needed a car with a rear seat! Actually I ordered the sapphire pearl with black interior, and when the dealer called me to tell me my car was in, it had the tan interior. I could take it or keep waiting and decided to take it. Still kind of wish I had gotten the black but what the hell.

I've heard about the after-the-fact redos. Interesting. But I'm just a lucky guy because mine is the real thing.

Only problem is, it's not exactly the family car I envisioned - kinda tight for the whole family (2 kids 5 & 8, and wife). We can do it but some are squeezed.

Not me though - I get the driver's seat!

(PS - after all this time, finally modding it. It's got 21,000 on the odo and just received a Tanabe racing medallion exhaust. That alone provided 24.8 HP dynoed at the wheel. Full plan is AEM EMS, hoping to get to 430 wheel with that. No plans for turbo replacement but you never know)

I can whole-heartedly relate to the Supra as a family car ;) When I was looking for a car back in 1999 to replace my well worn '90 GS-T Eclipse, my selection specs were that it had to have a back seat because I had two little boys at home 3 & 4yo and back then it was going to have to be my daily driver for a while, so taking them to pre-school every day room for baby seats was needed. It worked until they are now old enough that one sits in front and one in back. After all these years, my wife has never taken more than a couple minute ride in the Supra ...I think she's jealous of it and used to call it my mistress. Plus, wifey thinks she can't drive a stick shift and I won't bother convincing her otherwise.

One of my good buddies locally has a white '94 MkIV TT ...or at least it used to be white; when he pulled the engine to do some work on it, he had it all resprayed factory RSP. Another buddy down in WashDC area had his black one redone to a slightly modified RSP, that one looks gorgeous too. I know of a couple others too, but not in this neighborhood.

You may already know, but you don't need the AEM to get that power with stock twins. But it is a great way to go if you have the bucks and want to since it is great for when you go single or big twins. For example, my basic BPU with nothing but the most basic stuff dyno'd 435rwhp/455rwtq a few years ago ...healthy but not unheard of.

(RE: AEM EMS w/stock turbos) - I know the AEM is overkill unless someday I DO go for big single and other stuff. But I was convinced by my mechanic that this is a better route than what he calls alphabet soup - ABC boost control, DEF this, GHI that. And I can see his point. Plus I like the ability to download captures from the AEM that I can review on my laptop (once I learn what the heck I'm doing) and that I can also email to my mechanic. And the fact that I can tweak some stuff so if I don't like the idle or want to tweak the rev limiting I can.

Finally - who knows what the future holds, and going AEM now means (as far as I understand - other knowledgeable opinions extremely welcome) that my path is essentially unlimited. I'm sure I'll never reach for some 800 whp beast but going over 500 is certainly possible.

Thanks much for the reply; this is fairly new to me and while I'm learning fast the experience out there from those who've traveled different paths to power is invaluable.

I'm one of the other ones! There are or have been 3 of them in town here... all 6-speeds. Mine, Ryan Woon's, and Dennis Walsh's :crazy01:

Yay for RidiculousSalesPrice!

Quicksilver is my next favorite, then the standard black, red, and white. I think they are all beautiful. Especially MSB... I'd own an MSB car in a heartbeat :)

MSB is Fugly IMHO. Why they even offered a Supra in that color is beyond me. They should have kept the burgundy color from the MKIII instead, IMO.

Not sure. Never found the owner. It looks like it could be that dark blue Porsche uses -- forget the actual name.

I always liked the True Blue Metallic that was on my 01 Saleen, but a color change on a car is an expensive PITA. Plus, the green is growing on me.
