Well I guess the local prep kid at my school drove daddy's porsche carrera to school today, and he wanted to race me from the get go. I didn't even notice him at first, but I was doing a WOT run up a hill and I noticed the car in the rear view was stayin with me, so I was like alright alright. He flew by me and I noticed it was a kid, so I followed him until there was a break in traffic. Got next to him, he asked if it was turbo, I said nope with a big smile on my face. :eusa_ange So I asked him where he was going and he said Seco (That's a local road, fairly popular and quite long/straight. So I said ok and follow. We cut through a gas station and have miles of open road in front of us. I get next to him in second gear and he punches it. No honk, no nothing, so by the time we start I'm at his driver's side door. Go through 2nd, go through 3rd, go through 4th, and I'm still at his door. We shut down right around the top of 4th at ~110 mph and he's just like :aiwebs_01 That's NA? I said yep and he said you know if you had turbo you would have passed me I'm just like :eusa_hand. So we chat a bit side by side driving down the road and I find out it's a brand new built engine with basic mods, but still has the stock exhaust so he said it's holding back a lot of power (Which I believe). The kid was really cool, after talking for a while we had to depart, I gave a thumbs up and turned off. I look forward to talkin to him at school to see the details on the car. I'm not sure on the exact year but it was definetely late 90's, looked ****ing great
So far my races have been in this order (I mod frequently so most of the cars I lost to I would now win against)
1. Turbo z32 300zx lost by 1 car
2. C5 Z06, just toying with him, took him forever to actually get on it and when he did I was just trailing behind. Not much of a race because we went from maybe 40-80
3. Some kind of 90's street bike on the freeway, went from about 80-130, I passed him right about when I hit 120, those things jump like mad :aiwebs_02
4. Nearly new NSX, 2 races about 60-110, lost by 1 and 1/2 cars both times, guy was really cool, gave thumbs up, had Turkish behind me to witness race :respekt:
5. Turkish's mk3, was running 9-10 psi iirc and he missed 4th, I lost by 1 car
6. Daddy's porsche carrera
I think there's 1-2 more races I'm forgetting, if I remember I'll post them up...
My NA has every mod available aside from MSD, cam gears, internal work, and it's currently untuned (Soon to be tuned). Every bit of weight reduction possible has been done aside from PS, EGR, and a lightweight flywheel/driveshaft. Every mod done is extremely extensive, referring to mods of mine as "bolt-ons" is hard to come by, since the bolt-ons usually come with accessories to help them perform at the absolute top potential possible.
My car is always underestimated, and although I wish it got more respect from the turbo boys, I absolutely love my car. Should be turboing soon, not sure if I'll do a GTE swap or NA-T, my current motor will tell me soon enough.
