*note* It is widely recommended to use form-a-gasket instead of the cork gasket, as oil tends to seep through easier over time

In the first picture (above), it shows that I removed the hood, in order to have better access to the engine bay with my type of engine hoist. The second picture shows the engine being lifted...all that was needed to get to that point was removing the lower part of the intake tubing and unbolting the motor mounts.The third picture shows the clearance needed to remove the oil pan, roughly 4.5-5" or so. Gee, now don't forget to drain your oil...

After you've removed the 28 bolts (somewhere around that many), be sure to check out how your engines bottom end is doing. In the picture above you can see my oil pickup filter is a bit crushed, something that definitely needs replacement. In the 3rd picture, you can see what the oil pan should look like with the form-a-gasket. I used a little too much, but that's ok. Ultra-Grey is preferred more by others, but I haven't had any issues with the Blue. Be sure to remove all previous gasket maker/cork from the oil pan/block mating surfaces. Installation is the reverse of the removal.
