hi my name is nick im 26 and i live in wilson nc. i currently have 2 nissan 300zx's. a 1987 2+2 and a 1984 turbo. the reason i am here to to learn more about the 2jz. the motor in my 84 is on the fritz so i am in the proccess of putting a 2jzge from a lexus sc300 in it. i have to go pick up the motor from charlotte next month. i still don't know what transmission to run. it must be a manual. i am going to document the whole process with a full write up and pictures. it's is going to be a long process as i am doing the turbo swap onto my 2+2. the 2jz31 is going to be a drag car only. the 2+2 is a daily driver. i will be during lots of lurking over the next few months. i'm looking to get
800hp while is can get that kind of power out of the vg30 thats in the z it's a hell of a lot harder and alot less reliable. i had a 95 supra single t78 turbo about 7 years ago. i loved the power and sound. i have built several z's so i am not new to modifying cars. i guess thats it for now.
