Hey everyone,

I'm pretty new to supras, but I have always wanted a tunable car, and I have come across an mkIII in really good shape, so it's time to learn.

I would like to know if anyone has any pointers/warnings for a first time supra buyer? What should I look for or be aware of when buying?

The car is an '89, 130K, and has been driven in the city by an old woman for the last 15 years.

Thanks aot for your help,

TL

It's a n/a 5-speed (I won't touch an auto), which I'm pretty sure means it's a 7m-ge. It's a hard top. I'm looking to pick it up for about $4500.

What kind of results can be had keeping these n/a? By the looks of it, putting a turbo on these engines is a royal pain in the ass.

That must be a nice mk3 n/a for 4500

first off it should be noted that I am in Canada, car prices are a little different here. The really good thing is that the car has been driven by an old woman for the last 17 years, so I don't have to worry about any kind of abuse.

If you think 4500 is too much, what do you thnk I could pick up an mkIII for? How about a turbo?

Is it RHD? Like you said it onlys has 130Kilm on the odo. thats not alot of miles. i still woundn't pay 4500 for a car thats 20 years old. Again the canadian doller is worth more the the USD. Pics of the car would be great.
If i was you. i would try to find a GTE but, if your using this as a DD and not a project car. then i'll pay no more then 2000
