I have an 88 supra with the 7MGTE motor. I want to know what i would have to do to put the 2jz 6 speed tranny in it. The engine thats in the car now is allready manual tranny. I need to know everything i would need to do the swap.

First of all, try finding a picture of the 2jz block with the bell housing off and a picture of the 7mgte block with the bell housing off, and see if the marks where the bell housings bolt on match up...after that...I don't really know anything about the 2jz, but look up whatever you can about the drive shafts...Idk if you can mix and match the 2jz drive shaft and 7mgte, because im not sure how similar the differentials are...hopefully someone else leaves you some more helpful information...let us know how the project goes

you will need a front clip also custom motor mounts. the DS are not the same off the 7M so you will also need a rear end as well. I dont know alot of people who done a 2jZ in a Mk3 but.. Supraforums.com has alot of people who respond to these swaps. you should go there to find out more info GL on the project
