I may be selling my supra :aiwebs_00 I just want to get an idea of what it might be worth, so I need some opinions....after I describe it first. Number one, first deduction is in the fact its a non turbo, i know. and being automatic it'll probably attract someone who knows nothing about supras and just thinks its a cool looking car. by the way, that wasn't me when i bought it. the reason i may be selling it is because of the reason i bought it. i'll get to it later...
the interior is in good shape, seats are great, lunbar adjuster works perfectly fine, mirror adjusters are working great, power seats are just fine, carpeting is great, small sunspot-turned crack on dash though:aiwebs_02
owner before me replace the stock radio with a sony head unit, which by the way is the only upgrade of any kind in the car. I ordered an intake for shits and giggles from the supra store which i was kind of excited about, but it never came and they never answered my emails or phone calls, so I'm not a fan of them.
there are three or four tiny rust spots on the whole exterior of the car. I've done a few repairs on the car myself; i replaced the water pump while I replaced its blown gasket, along with that i replaced the radiator hoses, I replaced the oil pan bolt and gasket, replaced the valve cover gaskets, while I did that I replaced the throttle body gasket and the gasket between the connecting pipes and the intake manifold...I soaked up the oil in the spark plug housings that leaked from the valve covers, changed the plugs and wires....starter solenoid may be going, but it still starts, it just takes some time for the solenoid gear to catch....trunk lever doesn't work and the passenger side window doesn't go up, has to be done from the driver's side...
whoever stuck around to read all that, thanks. Why am I thinking of selling it? I thought I'd be able to do a tranny swap with it, but a year later, senior year of high school, its just not practicle considering the money I put into it with tires, breaks, and all the things I already told you about. I got the idea to just about restore the thing after seeing what I had to do to it, and that doesn't fit with my trans. swap because of money. I'll be going to college in a year and it'll just be sitting around for a year until I come back and drive it wherever I'm going, putting more miles on it for the next 3 years on, not having money to do anything I want with it. And who knows after college if I'll have the money for those things. Anyway, I'd rather pass it on to someone who can take care of it the way I want to be able to.
So what's it worth to you? (anybody)
