i got a 87 7mgte and am having weird problems with it. 1st problem is that is turns off on me out of nowhere when im driving, usually happens when i make left turns, when this happens i just put it in P and turn it back on with no hassle. 2nd problem is that it accelerates it self, without me pressing on the throttle. it seems like somthing gets stuck, can the problem be the Cruise control???(auto-tranny) anybody have any idea whats going on.? please help.....

have you tried unplugging the cruise control?

Have you double checked all your wires? I unfortunately haven't been under the hood of a Supra since 04, and that was a Gen II. Honestly, I think it's wiring or the Cruise comp/chip is screwing up. A little tough to diagnose with the limited info.
