They're pretty whimpy! You're looking at 2.5" speakers! You can make a set of 3" speakers fit in there with a little effort and thought. We ended up wedging one of the corners of the 3" speaker in there and only using one or two screws to actually hold it in place. Does OK, but still very weak.

Best bet is to try and fit a set of 6" in the lower part of the door where the trash pocket is. With some creativity, you can make it look really nice. Someone on the CS.com forum had an interior shop custom build a SWEET set of built-in pods that look like it was a factory build!
