Hey guys,

So after the BHG problem, I purchased a running Jap engine motor (30K miles) and have installed it BUT the problems are as below

1.) Cranks over but NO SPARK
2.) Power to distributor but no power to the plug
3.) No power going through the fuel injectors (checked through diode)
4.) The cold start injector is getting over 100Degrees whenever the injector plug is hooked up...no matter if i have the key in or not, as long as the plug is on, its COOKING...burnt my hand twice.
5.) Neutral switch seems to be working
6.) No alarm problems or sirens.
7.) I used the old distributor off the BHG motor..it was working before I parked the car and installed the new one. Now I went to do the test on it, the 140-180ohm test. Bottom right plug to the other three...Only the top left to bottom right put out 169ohms...the rest put out nothing...could this be the answer to all the above problems? I have a distributor on the way but donno if it will be here this week or not...and if so...WHY is the cold start injector getting hot??

What could it be?!? could I have missed a ground? Is there a electrical diagram that anyone has I can look at?

thanks guys!

Sounds like the ignitor is out.
So order a MSD Blaster coil SS from Horse power freaks.

Sounds like the fuel pump isn't working.
I'm not sure the cold start injector is acting up. Someone on here will know for sure. But no spark is your ignitor being out.

It's not the distributor cap keeping it from sparking. HOwever you may change the rotors and re=use the cap..

Sorry forgot to add this stuff

1.) Fuel is pressurized and ready to go..so fuel is going through and priming
2.) The injector is just not getting power as i believe the injectors run off and are a byfactor of the distributor or sparkplugs..??
3.) Im getting power to the distributor...its 12 volts through CPS sensor...
4.) I know the distributor cap isnt my issue...i said my "distributor" the whole metal thing thats slides in. the ohm test is saying it fails but i havent gotten the new one in

im hoping somehow the distributor got shorted out between driving the BHG engine in and putting the new Jap motor in

dumb question.....is the engine grounded via ground strap??

ground strap...well there is one on the driver side transmission, one on the passenger side near the back of the engine..and then one from the battery to the side of the wall

is there another one?
