I need a starter for a 1989 MKIII

Any local parts store.
I got mine at O'rielly's because they got it in the quickest.

if you want to keep your orginal starter you can have the starter reworked they clean the armature and put new brush's in it and basically remanufactor it, same thing as a parts store put you get back your starter not some one else's i have a guy rework alot of shit for me as long as he's cheaper.

Go order a starter at your local parts stores or your dealer.
I know toyota has them cause they sent me the gte by mistake.

Other than that it isn't making much sense to some of us here.

if you get a used starter it might be in the same shape as the one you have already.

Something is missing. This isn't making any sense to me and he isn't telling us much of anything.

online stores have these parts for any car or model! Toyota have lots of parts distributed anywhere and having one is easy like clicking the mouse and filling up the order form.
