EBC claims a much improved formula for the Red and Green stuff pads...thinking about getting red. Anyone tryed them?
I have some unknown brand of cross drilled rotor with stock calipers. Not looking for a race pad - need something with descent cold performance for daily driving.
Thanks for the feedback.

Haven't tried the new compounds, but for your driving I'd suggest genuine Toyota pads (not raybestos or any other "OEM equivalent")

The best pads I have found for the everyday use are Porterfeild R4S compound. I installed a front and rear set on my fiance's Intrigue. The pads work great cold, but can handle the aggressive driver as well. If you want more info get ahold of Jeff at Horsepower freaks at 866-473-5600 or Myself at 866-992-7253

My MkIII came with a set of the EBC Red Stuff pads on the front, and they seem to do fine. I can't compare them to any other set, but it stops pretty damn quick right now! They make some noise after they heat up a bit, but I think the guy who put them on just did a pad slap anyways, so I should just machine the rotors.

I have never used the EBC pads, so I can not compare the R4S to the EBC. I know that alot of people getting the Big Brake upgrades are also upgrading to the R4S pad and the feedback is phenominal.

I've also had very good luck with the R4S pads. They haven't given me a reason to venture out and try too many other brands though. That said, I have used green stuff pads on the MR2 and they worked well but weren't as pleasant for daily driving...
What I have seen as the best for multi role cars are the R4S. They offer the best feel and performance for the street and some light track duty. I used the green stuff and they work well but they must reach a temperature that street duty will most likely not create.

I have tried those and it was nice.
