Nick 95 6sp 08-03-2007, 07:51 PM dear mr. roadmasterman,
I moved this thread of yours from General Supra Forum ....since it obviously has nothing to do with that... to Other Cars where it obviously fits. Thanks for your understanding and please ship me an R34 Skyline soon.
dizahl 08-11-2007, 04:14 PM yean i'll take a v-spec and an s15
supramacist 08-11-2007, 08:23 PM 2009 fellas. The U.S.A. GTR will hit sales floors all across the continental U.S..
I can't wait. We should start a pool. Revolving around msrp. I'd get in for
$20.
Nick 95 6sp 08-11-2007, 10:11 PM There's a used sporty car dealer near my neighborhood that has a pretty cool looking Datsun 2000 for sale; I think I'd like this car, especially with some kind of interestng swap like a SR20DET sort of thing. It looks like this one:

supramacist 08-12-2007, 12:27 PM I was trying to buy a z car from a chick that had one of these in primar ready to rebuild it.
I like these as well.
dizahl 08-12-2007, 04:47 PM ohhhhhhh ahhhhhh..............mike did you say something?????
supramacist 08-12-2007, 06:15 PM perv
dizahl 08-15-2007, 01:26 PM isn't that sexy though. mike in cause you didn't know that is a sr20det all aluminum 2.0 liter turbo motor, plus it's a black top out of a s15 silvia the holy grail of drift cars in japan. those things will hold red line for days with some mods to the valve tran
dizahl 08-15-2007, 01:27 PM that thing has got to fly.
supramacist 08-15-2007, 02:51 PM What size turbo is that??
Nick 95 6sp 08-16-2007, 09:50 AM I'm gonna go check out that Datsun 2000 near here. It's been in that lot a long time, so either the guy wants a lot for it or nobody is interested.
I'll look it up later, but while I'm here I'll ask diz and all you experts:
What kind of suspension do these Datsun 2000/1600's have? Being it's a 'vert, how stiff is the chassis? I would mod this into a track car so it has to handle well. I can see power would be no problem since these kinds of swap parts are available, though perhaps a little pricey but still less than typical Supra hardware.
supramacist 08-16-2007, 09:57 AM I haven't had anything this old, in the way of a nissan.
But I have had a pulsar nx twin cam 16 valve.
I have also had 8 valve 4 cylinders. Now none of these engines compare to this one but the suspenion.
Has always had a wide turning radius, wich is nice.
My pulsar would run 135 mph. It handled like a dream.
However I had to get rid of it because the stock motor mounts broke.
The 1600 nsx. Had a solid suspension under it as well.
I would say you would probably want to tighten the suspension down for a more track friendly ride.
Clearly I know none of the technical shmaz, but these are my personal experience with the smaller nissan autos.
supramacist 08-16-2007, 10:02 AM Not to mention this solves the will debacle.
Because clearly I will relenquish any hold upon said toyota.
In forfeiting that, I would appreciate propper and outright ownership of the completely restored and modded Nissan.
I think this will make all of us happy and DAD..., lol, can drive either all he wants.
Till he kicks. Then we part ways diz. I will no longer see you as my brother but a soul on the wind unknown to my inner self, therefore rendering you a stranger, lol. muah muah hahaha muah muah hahahaha tard.
dizahl 08-20-2007, 02:27 PM if you can swap a sr20 in using the sr20's sub frame you could probably very easy swap in the suspension, i've never seen one of those before in life so it's hard to say. nissan is like the GM of japan. shit interchanges between different models and years, that's why i love nissans because i use to just do chevys with me pops and there was common ground in the nissans. older years of GM by the way the new shit doesn't neary interchange at all. in comparison.
Nick 95 6sp 08-21-2007, 01:48 PM While your dad was surf fishing in Ocean City MD, the annual Duryea Hillclimb was in Reading, PA this past weekend. Lots of cool cars including some JDM hot shit:

dizahl 08-22-2007, 04:48 PM you should think about taking pic's for a living those are nice nick.
dizahl 08-22-2007, 04:50 PM what year 2000 were you looking at?
supramacist 08-22-2007, 10:25 PM I was going to post when I saw these as well but all I could grab vocally was 1 word.
Nice.
So I waited for someone else to post.
Ditch may be right Nick. If you vested some cheese into a few more cameras and telescopic lenses. Not only could you send us hot rod muscle tuner picks.
You could keep us posted on brittany and k-fed and lindsay lohan.
Sorry. Kidding.
But you are right there and if you were dedicated to doing it you could get on with an up and comming tuner rag.
Nick 95 6sp 08-23-2007, 08:17 AM Damn, you get what you pay for!! I knew I should have invested in an education for you two boys instead of spending all our money on beer and Supra parts.
I'll take this slow and easy, one step at a time:
When I opened my post above with While your dad was surf fishing in Ocean City MD... I thought you two would pick up on the subtle "hint" that I was in Ocean City MD all last week and doing plenty of fishing and other fun seashore activities with your other two brothers and their mom/my dearest wife. So then you might conclude that I was not at this hillclimb event ...though I will be participating next year with your soon-to-be-inherited Supra. I found this report posted by one of our local forum guys here in PA and I took the liberty of taking his photos and posting them here. So I am not the one to be looking for a grandiose photographer career, though I do accept private shoots of nice young babes who are willing to volunteer for such activity or just willing.
Obviously, you two ended up on the short end of the stick when it came to dishing out my high quality genes and I can only assume that you both took after your moms and not me. Some apples don't fall far from the tree, while some apples just rot while still hanging on the tree.
In any case, I will make sure to spend more time with you two boys and do my part to make sure you grow up to be intelligent, productive citizens who are worthy of driving a great car like the Supra.
Nick 95 6sp 08-23-2007, 08:23 AM what year 2000 were you looking at?
diz,
I don't know how much variation there was in the basic chassis from one year to the next, but I think none or hardly any. I'm looking into that. But these Datsun 2000's were made and sold from mid 1967 to 1970. Here's a little background info about them:
**************************
Datsun released its 2 liter roadster in 1967 as the Datsun Sports 2000 with an official model series identification of SR311 for right hand drive cars and SRL311 for left hand drive cars. In common usage, "Sports" has dropped out of the car's name and the SRL311 is simply referred to as the Datsun 2000. Nissan has commonly named its flagship sports car Fairlady in the homemarket and the SR311 is known commonly there as the Fairlady 2000.
The Datsun 2000 was introduced March 15, 1967 with production of the first model year running through November 1967. As the car was introduced mid-year these cars are often referred to by collectors as the 67.5 2000 or 67 1/2 2000. Production went on through 1970 with a total production of about 15,000 2 liter roadsters.
It is generally thought that Nissan limited production to 1000 cars for the 1967 model year with serial numbers SRL311-00001 through SRL311-01000 being authorized by the factory. It has been speculated that up to 200 of these 1967 cars were RHD SR311's. Neko's Fairlady Volume 2 would seem to indicate production of 1000 SRL311's and 1000 SR311's for a total production of 2000 2 liter cars for 1967. Record keeping was not a priority in those days so there is some debate on these matters. Adding to this confusion, some SRL311's and SR311's have been known to share the same chassis number.
A number of factors make the 1967 2000 highly desirable, the most notable being Nissan's limited production of under 1000 cars in its introductory model year. The 1967 2000 has a number of significant design features that distinguish it from later 2000's, the most notable distinction being the only 2000 to share the charm and vintage styling of the earlier low windshield and "flat dash" roadsters. In addition, the 1967 2000 was the only model year 2000 unencumbered by emission control regulations that were implemented in 1968. It was also the only year that a special 150hp competition kit with Solex carburetors was available as a factory option in the U.S.
******************************
In any case, since I'm not intending to be a car collector or original restoration freak, I just want to find a Datsun 2000 with a trashed motor and decent body/chassis that I can use to butcher into this swap idea and use it as a dedicated track car except for the rare occasion when I might want to drive it on the street on nice days and go kick some ass on other cars.
supramacist 08-23-2007, 08:32 AM You know we only read half of what you say Nick.
I too have photo's of Ditch I should post up here, lol.
dizahl 08-23-2007, 02:14 PM nick did you say some thing about apples i lost interest about the third word.
dizahl 08-23-2007, 02:16 PM hey nissan called they want their historian back. you know the one you kidnapped and have locked up in the basement. that was a good bit of info i didn't know.
Nick 95 6sp 08-23-2007, 02:46 PM nick did you say some thing about apples i lost interest about the third word.
cliff notes: if a naked girl offers you an apple, eat it but beware of the snake in the bush
supramacist 08-24-2007, 10:04 AM That's exactly what I tells all my bitches, or ho's excuse me ladies.
Here's the deal Nick.
When you get this thing running you drive out to the sticks and tell them to put out or get out. Didn't your generation invent this gambit???
I have always heard it being linked to volkswagons.
Diz: Is there any way I can bypass the ecu with a stand alone fuel and ignition mgmt.????? HPF says I can. For 1500 bucks.
It's looking like it's going to get yanked and sent out.
dizahl 08-24-2007, 05:44 PM yeah i had her sister suck the poison out.
