.....Quit doin' shit half-assed. When I put in my engine ~a year ago, I replaced most of the water lines. Except for the ones to the heater core. I would not have noticed the problem if I hadn't been adjusting the height on the hood after a 30 min drive, w/ A/C on, in ~90* weather......

The problem....

This was only spraying out at certain times, would have been very difficult to track down the water loss, if I hadn't heard it hissing & dripping onto some hot metal.

Apparently, being pissed at me for not replacing this hose originally, the clutch master cylinder is now also leaking, into the footwell :snork_wei . Ahh, the joys of owning an old-ass car......

I had the same problem about a week ago. I did the throttle body bypass, and reused a hose. Well I was loosing coolant so I figured BHG or some shit (Since I never saw a leak). I guess finally the leak got big enough to start dripping. I began to run hot (Not overheating, but running hotter than usual), so I limped the car home and shut it off, just in time to see coolant leaking out of the throttle body bypass hose like crazy. Luckily I already had a bunch of extra hose, so I just needed to go buy some new clamps and that was that.

Nothing in life should ever be done half-assed, ever.

On my old '89 I just replaced that with some heater hose from the local auto parts store, cost me waaaaay less then $45 and worked fine.

It leaked coolant before I replaced it, it sucks replacing that hose when the engine is really really hot :(

Hell I blew up two hoses in my 89T all with in a week the first one blew up at work just pulled in got out and pop a hose blew steam every where and water spilling out luckily an auto store was across the street. The second hose to blow was when I was driving that sucked. I had to change it in a wendys parking lot It took me 4 hours I had to remove the power steering resivor, the afm, accordian pipe, and a few other things what a nightmare

I had the same problem a few months ago as well. And the clutch master and slave on mine leaked for a long ong time got an awesome stain in the carpet lol... But back to that coolant line replaciong that led them to find my rad was falling apart. So in the long run was a pain in the ass but a good thing because I got a new over sized rad in the process.

My radiator hose blew up the moment after i set my ebrake in my driveway after driving home from work. :) I got lucky. I had an overpriced TMS hard pipe on its way in the mail because I knew it was time.

by the way the hard pipe is nice but after getting it and it didnt even have bead rolls on the end my butt started to ache abit

I think we are all guilty of doing that from time to time. I did the same thing. When my upper radiator hose failed I thought awww that lower looks fine. Well I'm sure you all know what happened about 3 days later......
