lol, messed up is not even close to this past week. in 5 days I worked about 70 hours. little to no sleep, and alot of driving involved (over 50 minutes one way). thank good i am not working this weekend otherwise i would have collapsed.

I used to love just getting two days off in a row -- now I've got both weekend days off :middlefin

you have no idea, i just woke up after sleeping 12 hours. and i still feel like sleeping more. lol. and most likely on monday and tuesday i will have to work 16 hours each to meet the deadline (we are doing a huge project for t-mobile replacing their computers, but our company promissed something they cant do, updates are taking 5 hours for each pc instead of 30 minutes, slow computers, slow network, lots of work). anyway, at least the pay is good and i really like what i am doing.

well if you enjoy your job that makes it a little easier. i actually like mine too so it doesn't get on my nerves too much, just every now and then. and i feel like that too after sleeping a long time. i am used to getting 4-5 hours of sleep a night so when i actually sleep for like 10 hours or so i feel more tired when i get up.

Yea like 8:00am to 5:00pm. I couldn't get the schedule I wanted: 11:00am to 2:00PM

Don't worry about it. my buddy has a job he went to before katrina and has been there since the storm for work..
BTW I quit O'Reilly's because they bullshited with my hours. They asked me at first to work an open to close that I said sure as long as I don't have to do it alot. Well a few weeks later I worked open to close 7am-8:30pm 2-4 times a week. No breaks. maybe just maybe a 15minute lunch. They weren't paying me enough for that crap. I used school as an excuse since I resumed and started the new semester. As far as O'reilly loving their employee's :middlefin I know they love their store managers and DM's but regular employee's they just don't give a shit about. Their parts are awesome tho!

It seems as though some of you have actually worked some considerable hours.

My schedule is ever-changing, all though it's not as bad as it was when I used to fly. I worked 17 hours yesterday-6:45 AM until 11:45 PM, and only 7+ today-1 PM until just after 8 PM.

I've had periods of work that were so busy that we were working roughly 100 hours a week (7 days)-no BS. During those periods it was great to have a "late" showtime of 9 AM on the weekends, let alone a single day off. We were also lucky to have much of a lunch and to even get to pick what you ate in the midst of all that.

I've been in the line of work that I'm in long enough to know that you can't expect your schedule to be predictable-at all.

How about longest single days of work? Mine is 18.5 hours-10 AM-4:30 AM, which actually went by surprisingly quickly.
