Pull the lighter and check the wire connects on the back side of it.
It has to be faulty wires.

More often than not that is the case. Also make sure there's not a fuse in the adapter that's blown. They're usually accesses by unscrewing the tip of the adapter that goes into the lighter socket.

You know, the cigarette lighter has to be one of the worst ways to power an appliance... why don't people hard wire accessories anymore? At least the ones they use all the time.

I guess alot of people don't want to butcher up that new plug.

And if the lighter is working..., why bother.
If it's out, definitley a wire issue that's easily solved.

If you do not smoke.
Just hard wire the pos to the pos and the neg to the neg.
Get some heat shrink. And some solder and an iron if you don't have one.
It'd a good investment. And it's all cheap.

Get the wire you and all of this stuff at radio shack bro.
Save some cash for later.

Dude..., radar detectors work because of line of sight.
They have to be on or above the dash or it's disco'd.

You can put a police scanner in your dash.

Maybe even a cb radio.
