Hey I'm new (obviously). Been scouring for supras for a while, now that I'm finally moving, I was able to get my hands on one. Its got pretty high milage, but I'm planning to do a swap or at least a total rebuild. Its an 88 N/A 5speed with the sport top. I'll get it on the 27th.... *twitches* hard to wait.
I'm not totally new to supras though, I helped my good friend build his up a bit (89 turbo automatic), because I'm a mechanic-in-training and it helped us both.
Anyway, thats me.

Right on dude, Welcome.
By sport top do you mean the targa or a sunroof?
Post up spme pics when you get it. I am about to finish up rebuilding my 91.
It seems best with these things to just re-build what you have or swap.
Just stay away from JDM engines. They all say plug and play. But those engines have to be rebuilt before they work right.

I like the gauges, but the seat covers will probably have to go, and mebbe the shift knob too haha.
I could really care less about most of the features: i was an electrician and computer builder before i took mechanic training and where i'm moving, my family is nearby, mechanics with a full shop, so if something is gonna break or doesnt work, i should be able to deal with it. I'm taking my chances.
By the way, do you know how to tell if it has the little computer thingy in the dash or the electronic suspension (if the N/A version even has that as an option). My friend's didnt have the lil computer but it looked like it would have been nice had it been functional.

Yep that's a targa. And something is going to break...., it's just a question of when.
Good Luck with the car. Check out all of the parts available here at:
