: MKIII non turbo
supramacist 06-12-2007, 10:01 AM I need someone to help me figure out where my vac lines go seriously.
I can't get it straight. There'e hoses everywhere and I can't get any of them to look like they match up.
I can't put the y pipe on or the throttle body pipe becuase i can't get my hands where they need to be to hook those lines up if I build further.
I have spoken to the dealership and they are zero help. I need one of my brothers here to help me out.
I have hoses from the egr valve that goes god knows where. I have the anadized plunger on the inside of the upper combustion chamber I don't have a hose for it. The hose bracket that hooks onto the the flange where the upper plenum meets the lower plenum. There's two of those and the rear is missing hoses. I know I have all of the hoses. I just counted on muscle memory so they would show me where they go and it's not working and the tsrm is nearly as worthless as the man at the dealership parts counter.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You All.

supramacist 06-12-2007, 05:32 PM Alright I think I have it sorted out somewhat as close to where everything can go as possible.
I even put the y pipe and the throttle body pipe on. I can't do the alternator yet because I may have to continue to reach into there.
SO I guess I'll do what I can to the engine and then it will be time to take a toothbrush the the radiator and get it all cleaned up.
Thanks for all of your help.
supramacist 06-13-2007, 12:48 PM I have a couple of grounds to hook up on the intake side.
I have a ground that looks like it goes onto the alternator. Wich I guess is next to go on. I have a sensor that has to be plugged in I guess I finger ****ed it and it came loose due to my not tightening it. I'm going to clean the fan up nicely before putting it on.
Then it's belts and the 1 2 3 inspection of anything that could be forgotten and then it'll be oil change time boys. Then moment of truth.
I'll keep my toes crossed for you. ;)
supramacist 06-14-2007, 09:14 AM Cross them all Bro. lol
supramacist 06-15-2007, 12:33 AM Well I have everything as close as I think I can get it and I have 1 left over tube. So that's not good but I'm sure it'll sort it self out.
The engine is together and hopefully the rad and fan and shroud and belts will be done and on it this weekend.
Look in the online EPC under vacuum hose.
supramacist 06-15-2007, 10:57 AM Would you happen to have a link sinse I have never happened to hear about the EPC???? Is it an online tsrm???
EPC = Electronic Parts Catalog
It's on the same site as the TSRM and TEWD. CygnusX1
http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/EPC/291410/catalog.aspx?Figure=1708&Page=2
supramacist 06-16-2007, 09:04 AM I feel so stupid.
I found the vaccum hose diagram on the underside of the stock hood.
It's all squared away and moving forward.
I still have a long list of things to do, but they are all small things.
Then we'll change / add fluids.
Edit: Also, that was a sweet diagram you led me too. I saved it for future reference.
Yeah, the diagram on the hood is decent... if your hood still has it and if your hood is from an N/A... :P
The EPC has the best diagram, covers just about everything, I think the only thing that's missing is the diagram for the CC, but the TSRM covers those well enough.
supramacist 06-18-2007, 05:20 PM I found the diagram before you posted the link. I appreciate you doing that BTW. Thank You.
My car still has unresolved personality conflict issues. I'm not even a mechanic, how the hell am I going to fix that??? Do they make wrench for it.
The car also exhibits suicidal tendencies with a lust for being parked in the garage. I think it just wants to try to rust in peace.
I'm no mechanic either... but I play one when I get off work. ;)
I know how you feel, my car is attention starved. It's always begging me to make time to work on it, but first I've got to make the money.
supramacist 06-18-2007, 06:59 PM You do something besides work on your car??
If that's all I do am I a mechanic???
You do something besides work on your car??
Heh, only for as long as she'll allow. ;)
If that's all I do am I a mechanic???
Not at all, there are mechanics and there are true Supra owners... the latter generally being FAR more knowledgeable and willing to put their own money into the car in consideration.
supramacist 06-19-2007, 02:05 AM I was kidding but I feel you.
I'm into graphic art. But my ride has consumed me of late.
Oh, so what do I actually do for a living?
Currently I'm a:
video editor (day job, I also fill in doing photo restoration);
web designer/programmer (no WYSIWYGs here, I code RAW) & IF design consultant (contracted p/t job, I hate the programming part, graphics and interface design are my primary area of expertise);
metal sculptor & designer of disgustingly huge installation exhibits (I've got a couple months off before the next big show);
freelance MAFT Pro installer/tuner;
and of course:
#1 MKIII Supra owner.
Things I have done professionally and do not intend to do again:
Chef - if you cook for a living, you live off of pop-tarts and ramen.
MIS director - Networking and database programming... YUCK!
Alarm & access control system specialist - aka a very busy locksmith who's good with computers. ;)
Apprentice electrician and plumber.... great pay, NO time off.
My hobbies include:
mood swinGs
proving that prescription sleeping pills don't work
testing the human endurance for lack of sleep
maintaining a 50:50 sane to insane cycle
driving my wife insane
not going outside
proving that even the best of friends can't remain in contact with me
providing my sister with someone to name when telling my nieces "You don't want to end up like...."
Generally, I'm a smart lunatic who's too unstable to make the wicked income that my friends/family think I should be making. :bonk:
supramacist 06-20-2007, 06:48 AM Where are you located cre???
supramacist 06-20-2007, 12:16 PM I remember now. As soon as I read it i remembered it from a different forum.

Good to see I'm not alone on some of these.
Oh and I used to live in Boulder. Do me a favor and go find my father and prove to him his 80s cherokee can't outrun a supra hahaha.
supramacist 06-20-2007, 01:12 PM Tell your sis to tell her kids not to end up being a junkie whore drunk..
Like Lindsey Lohan.
Last night was the first sleep I have had in 3 nights and 4 days. Script pills work but you have to get muscle relaxers or something like that sleeping pills wouldn't put me down after my discharge. Unless I took the 4 at a time. Then I was jacked up all the next day.
Life gets in the way of friends staying in contact. Always has, always will. That's life.
Antipsychotics work best... but they hurt my creativity and make for a much less interesting social life (probably for the best though).
An 80's Cherokee against my 88 N/A? hmmm... might be close.
supramacist 06-21-2007, 08:46 AM Wouldn't you get the same effect from pot without the creativity drain and add a lust for twinkies and ding dongs???
