The scoop is open underneath, the hole is pretty large. (no-pics) If you have ever seen the old Celica GTS scoop or the new Forerunner scoop its almost identical. I'll take some new pics shortly alot of people have asked about the scoop its molded in to a stock hood, looks much better IMO and brings in and relieves alot more air. The scoop is offset and sits right over the compressor and dumps onto the turbine housing and DP.
