Hi, im brand new to the idea of purchasing a supra, however, not new to the modifying scence. Im in high school, and looking for a car to mod that handles well, and can be modded a bit. I've looked through heavily at the 1995-1997 BMW M3's.... the 2002 WRX..... The Nissan 240sx.... etc etc. But my question is this; Should I get a 1993.5 N/A Supra and pay about 15 grand, (which is my budget right now), or is there a better ride for that kind of money??? Is it horribly really slow??... Thanks for the help!!

15 g's for a 93 n/a? Fuk that bro you an do WAY better than that for that $$ you know what look around for one with a salvage title on it or something. I found one a while bak for $1500 with the 7M-GTE so it was turbo one so you can get a really good priced one and use the rest of the funds to build it up. I tell you what you get a good chassis for about 1k-3k you an buy you a nice JDM 2JZ-GTE for about 6-7k with the 6-spd on it. then your up to what about 7-10k roughly. and you get :burnrubbe lol In essence if you got a pretty good start as far as funds, and it appears you do, than do this the right way bro and you'll never have to trip on nothing. I wish i had 15k to start with lol

I'm looking for a supra to, check out KBB.com for some suggested prices. Seriously I think that 15K for 93' NA is above what should be the real value. just my .2. Keep looking and you'll find one.

15k is too much for a non turbo. you can get yourself a mk3 supra with a 2jzgte for under that still. if you think dropping in a turbo motor into a non turbo car would be a good idea think ahead and search. you gotta replace the non turbo drive train to a turbo one, W58 (non turbo tranny) to a turbo trany R154 or GETRAG 6 speed. rip out your engine ecu and wire harness and re wire EVERYTHING ect ect.
if you buy a mk3 you need to know if the head gasket ahs bin rebuilt or not, dont buy it if it isnt.
