need advice

Hi everybody, i have a bit of a problem. I got an '87 with a blown-up 7m-gte, It was suggested to me that it be replaced with a 1jz. I am new to Supras so I am wondering if anybody has some advice. Thanks

well the 1jz is a turbo charged 4 cylinder. So if it were I...... I would do a 7mgte swap. This way it fits in with no probs and you can rob your carcus if you don't have to give it as a core charge.

the 1jz is a 2.5 twin turbo inline 6 that pushes around 280 horses if you are new to the supra and have little mechcanical skills stick with the 7m you can still get manuals everywhere for the 7m if it's not your every day driver and you want to spend the time and money on it 1jz that bitch they are incredible motors but remember when you start to get some miles on it you can't just go down to good ole napa and order your parts most have to come from japan
