Is it benefitcial to have a anti-surge housing? I hear so far it makes the turbo louder and lose some top end? I ordered a PT72gts do I need it on that turbo and is it even an option? Explain away.

Anti-surge housings are used when the turbo makes boost faster than the engine can consume it, and the car bucks under boost. The anti-surge housing will allow pressurized air to leave the turbo forward at the expense of added lag. I do not believe a PT72GTS will not surge on a 2JZ-GTE. The turbo that sometimes surges on the 2JZ-GTE is the PT70.

Chris.

Sweet, is the anti-surge housing even available on the 72? It would be kinda pointless to have just for some more noise?

Even if it was, I wouldn't recommend getting it.
