i've found out that my a/c compressor clutch gets locked up so i can't use it anymore. that was a few weeks ago and i don't have enough money until Nov. So everything have beed fine since friday and i don't reach my peak boost. ( 1.25bar). i checked all the hoses from the throttle body back to the turbos and everything was fine. What else can i check? i made sure that they were all tight so i went and drove around then i noticed that at 4krpm it revs past it then back down then past again. it does this a few times then runs smoothly to the redline. I have an automatic and it is pushed all the way to the floor then. Is the A/C clucth becoming worse and locks up at the higher rpms?

Start with disengaging your ac unit. Unplug all of that shit. It only makes you drink petro.

There are shims in the front of the AC unit. If you pull the clutch off the front, you'll see little tiny shims in front. Most likely your A/C unit is gone.

I'm not going to use mine anymore, as I'm thinking about pulling it out. If you want mine, maybe we can make a deal.

Chris.

Chris,
I've found another site with the compressors and clutches but i don't know which one to get or if any. the toyota shop here says that they have to rebuild one and that it would cost $800. i don't have any money for it until Nov. the site with the others is

http://rep.racepages.com/parts/racepages/wizard.jsp?year=1993&make=TO&model=SUP--009&category=G&part=A/C%20Compressor&dp=true&showdc=true#top

wow that is big anyway they have a few and if you do take yours off how many miles is even on it. i would be pretty awesome to have yours i think. thanks for the response.

I would probably just order a reman'd one off that site. Sounds like a good price.
