I'm doing the six speed swap comes winter, and was wanting to know personal experiences with the HPF feramic clutches. I read about them on the site but what are people's opinions of them who are actually running them. My car is going to be bpu still after the swap but planning on doing a single after the swap something in the 71 to 74 range so anyone who can help would be great. THanks.

I do not own one, but have installed a few. They are one of the best discs I have used out of all the single disc setups out there.

So, it would be a good choice as to what I have planned for my car?

I love mine. Took a little getting used to, the pedal pressure can be killer in traffic, but i love how grabby it is.

Is the feramic available in a sprung center version for the 6spd? I want one of these but already have a rps flywheel.

It's only available in an unsprung disk for the 6-spd. Some people have used the RPS flywheel with the feramic, but we do not recommend it (especially for drag racing). Stick with a stock or JUN (chromoly)

Huh, so the feramic is not recommand with the rps flywheel in general or just some of the rps flywheels?

The feramic is not recommended with Aluminum flywheels in general. The reason is they do not hold up to the heat as well as steel

I have the Feramic in my Supra and also a 74mm turbo and the clutch holds up very well. For a single disk clutch, I think its the best out there!

The lightweight flywheels are not very heavy and they can't dissipate heat quickly enough. The RPS is better than the Fidanza at dissipating heat and not warping. But all lightweight flywheels will have a tendancy to get clutch disks (under extreme conditions) too hot and depending on the melting point of the clutch disk, they will melt. The HPF Feramic has a melting point of 1400 degrees C, which is higher than any other clutch disk on the market. Once completely broken in, it is very very hard to seize a Feramic clutch.
