i hear things from guys i know about taking a fresh N/A 7m motor and throwin the turbo on it. any comments or thoughts on those makin the N/As boost with stock internals ?

in other words, swap in a 7mgte insted of turbo'ing a 7mge. by the time you get a reliable 7mge-t, you could of had a reliable 350hp 7mgte for cheaper basicly.

think about it, a w58 tranny (witch is the non turbo 5 speed that is behind the 7mge) can only hold upto 300hp sometimes without blowing. so why would you want to turbo a non turbo motor and not go over 300hp?

your tranny would have to be the R154 for this case, and the work to swap trannys is ALOT also. plus your stock 7mge fuel injectors are the same story, they wont handle just under 300hp. your 7mge air flow sensor and ECU does not like boost.



some people have done the project, i have looked into it for sooo long. and i quit searching in the middle of the whole class because it was too much work.
