hey guys,
wondering if you have any experience w/ these wheels, but i'm pretty much bent on choosing the Advan Model 5 for my mk4.
if i wanted to get 18x9f and 18x10r what offset would you get, and what offset do they have, that would make it sit all nice and flush with the fender? and as always, if needed, spacers (let me know if i need to get some of those too)
thanks in advance!
The problem is that no manufacturer shows an offset for that size. That is a special fitment and the customer would need to supply the offset they would need. If my memory serves me correct, that size will not fit unless you have a wide body kit at least on the rear. I know that some have made wide offset wheels fit on their cars but I don’t know the extent of the modifications to the fenders required to fit them.
My bad. I guess I cant read. I thought you were working on a MK3 Doh!
You can in fact fit 18x9 and 18x10 on your car. I dont know the exact offset required but the manufaturers have that information on file. I will try to find out for you. Apologies<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<bows...

You can run the Model 5 w/o any problems
18x9 offset: +40 Tire: 235/40 *EDIT* (255 will rub a little bit at u-turns)
18x10 offset: +45 Tire: 285/35
Suspension/Coilover: HKS HiperMax II
I'm also using a wide thread adapter 30mm on the rear (Note: Fender cut/roll required if adding wide spacers)
Stock rear vs Advan front

Hi Enzo! :)
If the original poster is still interested in fitment examples, I have 9-1/2"w X +45mm offset on front with 255/35 tires and 10-1/2"w X +45mm on back with 285/30 tires, lowered about 1-1/4" on Tein HA's, no fender or wheel well mods, nothing ever hit or any clearance problems at all, I think they fit nice and flush, not sticking out at all like Enzo's rears above sticks out too far for my taste. Otherwise, very nice car Enzo.
For the 10" rears, you could go with a +38, or IMO slightly better a +39 or +40mm, rear without a spacer for a good fit, and for the 9" fronts without a spacer also use a +38 to +40 for a good fit. But make sure the wheels clear the calipers especially on the front, since if you must use a spacer for brake clearance, the offsets will be different.

Whoa!!! Nick you're here too :aiwebs_01
Anyway Advan doesn't make 9.5 or 10.5 :( you also forgot to mention Veilside is the one that makes those $2k~ pimp wheels :D

Got my car back 2days ago, I went for a test drive and found out the front wheels were rubbing a little bit from the inside, I added a 15mm spacer the rubbing reduced, tomorrow if I have time I'll try to add 20 or 25mm spacer to see if this will solve my problem at u-turns.
Otherwise I have to replace the tires or get the front wheels with a different offset.

Problem Fixed!
Front tire: 235/40/18 I also added 15mm spacer just incase to clear the Brembo BBK calipers(future upgrade). No more rubbing and crying :happydanc
