157?, it goes a bit quicker than that mate. tried it out the first night i had it at 4 o clock in the morning so that the dibble were tucked up in bed dreaming of donuts. it did everything it says on the clock but with wobbly suspension it was a bit hairy at times. reckon my ringpiece was doing 50 hertz just like the mains! nearly chewed a hole in the drivers seat:snork_lac

and you call yourself a supra owner?

i just don't want to drive any other car and i need a trailer so there is only one option. i'm not going to buy some crappy car just for the once or twice i will use it a month. my supra has to earn it's keep like any other car i have owned. i didn't just buy it to look at.
my next one will be all polished up and snazzy looking and will only get used on weekends or shows or track days but this supra is used every day come rain, shine or snow. this is my only form of transport and untill i get another.

frankly i am amazed at people responce to doing this but most of the people who whine on about it only use their cars when the weather is nice or take it to shows or they are axel stand warriors as we call them over here. people who's cars are only on the road for a few weeks at a time before something else breaks. there is only one real way of having reliability from a supra and that is to get a low milage one (well 2 ways really and the other is a total rebuild from the stripped shell upwards but that will cost a fortune). if you don't like it then just don't put one on yourself. it is not sacralige to adapt a car for it's enviroment or use. if you impose limits on it then it soon becomes useless and i'm not paying to own and run a useless car. my next supe will be a "show car" with 600 horsepower and only going out on weekends but this one isn't. it has to adapt to my lifestyle and not the other way around.

boostins cruisin. Out of all those.........., "other" threads.....,you chose this particular one to post on. This is the bull shit I am referring to. It was always about cars. We talked shit all of the time....., but it was always about cars. A F ucking tow hitch???, for jet ski's. I mean dizahl is really right. Some took a f ucking supra and turned it into a car-b-Q. If it were a ford or a chrysler product, I would get it. But someone took the whatever was left of a gladiator and turned it into a Whopper Flopper. What's more..., some of you think it's cool when it is nothing more than disgracefull. I guess this is the difference between there and here. Here we don't disrespect the things we say we care about. Tow Hitch... You ALL know this is wrong and you condone it. Over Here......., we would have made the supra with a f ucking kegorator. It would not need to be hauled unless it was to preserve and then it would have been done with plausible equipment. AN all wheel drive having, cop out running, 5 spd manual, tire smoking, throat choking, rubber grip holding, driven over the edge and blown up so we can just put it back together again, f uck the world kinda thing. You cats just don't get it man...., and it's all because of the Big Black. :headbang:

what is it with you people, if you want to slum it by driving a truck then good for you but i won't. i only drive supras and that's the bottom line. supras aren't the worst cars to the enviroment, not by a long way and if you think i am going out to buy a large truck just to pull a small trailer or jetski and chug around polluting the atmosphere for everyone else when that is quite clearly wrong. you may have noticed the rest of the world doesn't like the pollution you guys put out, now that is wrong!
a tow hitch isn't wrong and quite frankly only an idiot would say that and it isn't the only difference between over there and here, not by a long way. if you cannot understand that different people have different needs and uses for items it explains a lot. never been that narrow minded myself. there isn't only one use for a car. there are many depending on the person who owns it and what they do. if you expect me and others to change our minds just to keep you happy then dream on, it'll never happen. i don't know who made the supra bbq and it isn't something i would have personally done but when i go to meetings and it's there and i get offered a burger i will take it. somebody liked the idea enough to do it and it would be rude/arrogant to tell them they are wrong. what makes your opinion the only one worth listening to then? are you god or something?

respect?, where i come from respect is earned! we are not sheep who need to be told who to respect. perhaps you should listen to your own advice. just because we are new here doesn't mean that we are new to supras.

you digress but don't seem to have any logical argument other than your own opinion which makes no difference to me when i have to tow a trailer. i sure as hell am not going to pull it myself. that's the cars job.
the car aslo gets me to and from work every day and the reality of the situation is that i don't get a chance to "AN all wheel drive having, cop out running, 5 spd manual, tire smoking, throat choking, rubber grip holding, driven over the edge and blown up so we can just put it back together again, f uck the world kinda thing. " do what you suggest because there is wall to wall traffic every morning and every evening and as for "blowing it up so we can just put it back together again" doesn't sound like the respect for items that you were talking about earlier. it sound crazy. you also must have access to a lot more money than i do to think that that is a good thing to do. your car must spend most of it's time off the road broken down. mine doesn't it is used every day, day in day out, week in week out. you seem to be discribing a track car. i have no use for that at all. one day i will get another one sorted but this one is my daily transport. notice the name, it describes something that is available 24/7 and reliable. fitness for purpose and all that. in my experiance i haven't towed anything bigger than my trailer at the moment but filled it was only half/three quarters of a ton but you wouldn't even notice it on there, i may have to do something with the bearings on the trailer to cope with the extra speed but it did 120mph on the back of a 2.8 capri!

assuming a hood is what we would call a bonnet then do you keep your spare tyre on the bonnet like a 4x4? not quite the aerodynamics toyota had in mind then.
