Seen some vents around and im not intoo the cosmetic look no purpose idea of things.
Some are so thats your thing OK :snork_oko
Anyway its an easy enough job if you have an angle grinder and welding gear.
This one took me 2 hours too fab up and allot longer to prep and paint.
The headlight holder also has to be cut to allow more of an angle for air flow.
I added a scoop on the top of the vent to allow more air into it.
Doubleing the opening.

This is an old light section i practiced on,and the amount of headlight housing that had to be cut out.
Note the rust on this piece, from a 89 turbo. Not nice. :aiwebs_00
But the car was very solid and roadworthy before i broke it.

LoL ...4 plus on breaker.
Theres a couple down country own 19 i think now.
Bought from Ebay and other enthusiasts.
Most of them are basket cases though, but still a good source for parts.
Hagar will know how many they have up to date, as he has visited them recently.

I like the look of the vent over the passenger light. The stock air intake is led right into that hole and without the vent there is no new air getting into there because the bottom is blocked off with a plastic plate so you can't throw rocks into there and damage a headlight. I removed the piece that leads into that engine cavern and now my intake breathes air from the engine bay and there is definitley an increase in power from just doing that 1 lil thing. Not to mention I went with a glass pack instead of the flowmaster and this car sounds good on and off the pipe. The down side being is you have to increase the volume of music. Alot of the hoods around here don't like slayer being cranked up along with the 2nd gear exhaust drone. But f uck em cause I am digging it like a grave baby, yeah.

Its the drivers side over here supremacist. :D
I hear what your saying about the airflow, and if cold air is forced into the filter its much better than the warm-hot air thats in the engine bay.
Im fabricating a twin filter pipe soon and looking into fitting an air duct pipe aswell
Theres loads of things you can do on these cars.
Once i get it made and fitted i'll post some more pics.

Now that I have had sometime to think about it....., I would like one. Just on the passenger side. It blows directly into your k/n drop in. EH, may cause more drag than it's worth. I'd try one.
